yes Im doing it myself. Im also moving the fuse box into the cab. My car had abs and ac. All of which I have removed but never the wiring. Im removing it all and taking a few feet of wiring out of the engine harness. As for the headlight harness since the fuse box is in the cab now I have to extent one side. Its about 4 ft of wire and about 25 wires since I have Hid's and Im redoing the fan and boost control circuits to be controlled directly from the aem.

Since its been a month ago today that I sent the rods back to the manufacturer I decided to give them a call. When I called in originally to setup a request for inspection I was told 5-7 business days. I understand things happen, especially this time of year when everyone is in a rush to get things together. However I called today and couldn't talk to anyone. I tried all 3 extensions and called several times over the course of 4 hrs. wtf is going on at Oliver?

I haven't started on the engine harness yet but got a little bit done last weekend.

I went ahead and finished the chassis harness. I decided against using Raychem for the whole thing, I just want it to look oem and not really be noticeable.

This is the original harness back when I removed it a few months ago.

Everything on the harness plugged in and everything installed to make sure it all clears the fmic and other stuff.

All the normal junk here is gone and headlights are hooked up. I ended up retaining the horns as well and just moved them to the frame rails.

Fuse box relocation. I ended up with a spare glove box when I bought the spare dash so Ill just cut part of the back out and install a light in the dash for easy access to the fuses.

Also started on the valve cover tonight. I have never worked with magnesium and didn't know what to expect. I wish I would have just bought the $50 59/64th drill bit but I was being a cheap *** after buying a $35 tap.
Ended up using my carbide bit in my straight grinder. I didn't figure Id have an issue making a hole but didn't know this **** would be so light and fly all over the garage. Its a ****ing mess, next one will be done outdoors.

This is a comparison of the stock vent next to my new -10. You can also see the the beginning of the hole.

Finished and tapped.

Thanks guys! I really wanted it to be down at Fathouses by now for the new Manifold and other parts but Oliver is dicking the dog. I was going to wait to do the wiring until the engine was back together and the cage was done but pulling the harness isn't that big of a deal.

All the push lock stuff for the catch can is coming from STM and hopefully the bumper escaped disaster out in the pacific. I guess if my rods still aren't back in the next two weeks Ill just start putting suspension and brake parts back on the car. Im wanting to make an aluminum under tray that acts as a nhra legal catch pan as well. Anyone else made one yet?

In those pics I think it just had a tokina 10-17. Whatever was on it when I went to snap a few quick pics. I wish I spent more time and actually took some decent pics for my build thread but usually Im lucky to take any pics at all.

The mil spec plug is adding days to my wiring situation lol. I havent updated anything but a few quick pics on FB. Currently the engine side is pinned and the Raychem has been put on but not shrank yet. Depending how I feel this week I will get the ecu side of the harness measured and pinned and have some pics up.

The chassis tuck I wanted to look OEM, so no Raychem or anything like that. The engine harness I didn't want to stand out but wanted good heat and oil protection, so I used dr-25 without labels. I think the labels look kinda cool but take away from a "tuck". Ive done hondas and nissans and they are a breeze but the evo engine harness is a disaster and has probably 300 ft of unneeded wire.

Your car is ****ing hot btw, whats the status of the build?

They've done hondas and nissans as well but like you said it's a breeze compared to the evo.

Thank you it's getting there. I refuse to put anything on 'credit' so I've been taking it slow lately. Head studs should be here by the time we get back from NY next week. Gonna install the valvetrain/cams/fuel system and tune it on e85 in the meantime. Then time to save up to build the motor.

Keep up the great work
