I figured I should completely update/close this thread after owning my evo for just a few weeks shy of 8 years. I decided against cutting the the clean shell, I just couldn't do it so I bought another mitsu rwd platform to cut into.

A guy drove 800+ miles today to pickup the bare shell with interior.

Good tread for DSPORT evo and will be missed!

I ran across your thread when I bought the perrin end links from you. I have been looking for information and this car is very similar to my build. I have some issues still that need to be ironed out before I can DD this car.

I have a Magnus 2.2 on 6262b . I have a lot of different parts I added, but some things on here were good to know and sounds like you had some bad luck with the bad rods and rusty injectors!

I got most all of my money in this project and hope that it stays running. I am shooting for over 700whp, but probably need to dial that down somehow for everyday driving so I don't blow it up!

I hope that it's ok that I am commenting on this thread for the sold evo? Thanks for the great writeup and good luck with your next platform!
