good luck. i will be putting the TC in ''laying in its place'' then the engine followed by the trans. might be more work but IMO its easier and less risky then scratching up your bay. good luck man.

Going in from the bottom with motor and trans together is the way to go. I have done it a bunch of times. By far thebest way. No scratches either. Plus it is easy to line up the Trans to Motor and clutch beforehand. The tcase is a little difficult to put in on the ground but it isn't that hard. It took me 1 hour to put my motor Trans tcase and driveshaft this morning once the car was on the lift. I have also done it on tall jack stands too.

It is possible. I have done it myself recently. I will attach a pic of how high it was. Not too bad and much easier.

I also think doing things yourself this way is much safer. There is less chance of hurting yourself from straining or dropping heavy stuff on yourself. Good Luck.
