As far as the quick shifting goes, Spyros mentioned it's 4 things:
- Dogbox
- EMS
- Flatshift Force ECU connected to Engine ECU
- A clever shiftknob
1) dogbox has "dog" clutch teeth, with suuuper wide windows and massive teeth allowing you to engage the next gear easily.
2) EMS so you can do an ignition cut to unload the gears for a gear change.
3) He's saying you need to have a communication between when you're shifting and the ECU
4) accomplished by a shifter with a strain gage. His flatshift force ECU most likely filters the output of the strain gage and ouputs a conditioned signal to the EMS.
It's certifiably badass. Tony Palo has a similar setup on his Integra with the MoteC box.
oh yeah.... HUGE FREAKING compressor.
