Quote: pizzaman / Will - why do you insist on calling that guy out? that's the owner of dog box racing and yes hes gone 174MPH.. he does not advertise or say anything so no one knows who he is really.. his car FLYS..

i only know of him because he did the ghost shifter / dog box setup in Leos evo. (the guy that owns the first 1100whp gtr in pa)

Funny, I asked about the dog box racing evo in the drag section yesterday. Anyway, people need to give things time to come to to fruition. Builds takes years sometimes and people never talk about them until after they are done. Graphite has been chronicling things before step one. Whether someone is blowing smoke up our asses, only time will tell, so let's give it some time at the least. And for the argument over a twin turbo v12 vs. a turbo 2 liter most of us understand physics so if the wool has been pulled over your eyes that's on you.

Quote: actually a lot of companies send out parts. but its basically before 95% of the public knows about that part that is being offered. OR the shop does there own testing and puts there parts in there dealer cars or well known customer cars at discounted pricing to test them out.

it also only takes the few big shops on this forum under 4 months to do a full build. why the hell is anyone waiting way over a year for a build on a 30k car?
Key words, discounted pricing. I highly doubt the parts are given free, unless it's something like db giving his brother the part to test. But realistically why is everyone complaining? The op that spent the money hasn't made gripes (yet) the only one ET should have to respond to is the paying customers, not the window shoppers, doubter, or pessimist. I guess we all can wait and see.

Oh and there is a huge difference between custom manufactured parts (presumably from their own company) vs stockpiling off the shelf items from different manufactures.

Out of all things that ET has shown, the one that impressed the most is the transmission setup they had, shifts looked easy, and smooth. Saw another video on it with different angles footwork/tach etc, so no smoke and mirrors there? Their small multi plate clutch looked killer too! ET parts will more than likely be pricy, and costs of shipping will be high, but there are a few that will pay the price. (I remember thinking others were crazy for buying a new fp black and sending it to Owens to get bb conversion) as with all things, it's not for everybody.

We design, we built and we test in house almost anything. When we offer somerhing we know before how performs as to be sure 100%. We dont need our customers test as final result may vary.
If u see from our tests we use highly cost and expensive equipment so see deep how performs so as to improve it.

Unfortunately these parts are expensive. Thats why are fewer. We do our best to make them cheaper not sacrifise quality.

Please wait joes setup.

I'm sure once some of the parts get dyno here in the states there will be nothing left for them to say, you do have your own equipments, but there are ways to manipulate numbers also, I think that is where most people here have found a problem, big claims, and no results (stateside) with this build, and hopefully others we will find the truth.

You did see where Mike said some of his Eurpoean customers are saying the same thing as us.......Where is the results. Who has these magical parts.

What racing are they involved inthat they can't get you any pricing much less parts for your car khmer.

I mean on the one hand you are kinda provign what we are saying (Have you even gotten a price much less a time table when you can get these parts) but then on the other you are defending them.......They've given you nothing more then words, pictures and a vid. You said you are willing to get parts from them. How long have you been waiting for a price.

A price.

Seriously. A price. How long does it take to get a price.

What racing are they participating in that they can't get you a price.

I'm not bashing you homie but this is becoming comical. It doesn't take that long to give some a price. Racing season or not.

See, but that's the problem. In order for you guys to get past the "early adopters" hurdle and reach the customers who are the bulk of the market, you guys DO need independent third party results.

Those such as GraphiteEvo9 are willing to take that leap of faith. Most of the people on this board are not.

Trust me when I say I am one of the people hoping that you guys have that one customer on this board that makes the one post that shuts everyone up. But, until that day comes, the skepticism is simply going to grow and grow.

How am I defending the company? I just dislike how everyone is out to attack the customer. If someone has a thread and lacks content there's no need to go and throw out vulgar comments at anyone, just move along with your day. I understand that there are some here that are trying to look out for the community (incase there is smoke and mirrors going on) but c'mon all those that dare to try know or should know what risk they are taking. Builds of this caliber can cost lots of mula and it's not like we can casually make trips across country let alone to the other side of the Atlantic.

I get the whole "it's nothing new" "it's been done before" etc etc.. But when have we seen anyone anywhere do a quality build with competition worthy parts and put them in a street car with full interior? I haven't owned evos for 10 years so I don't know of any, nor have I come across anything that would compare. Only cars with similar aspects that I can think of is David Buschur and his Bad Bish which is a 7-800hp car or maybe STM's recent build which is being neutered and sold. If ET is claiming to make almost double the power I would say that their car was in a different category. Even if they (Extreme Tuners) shipped their cars across the sea and made 7-800 hp it wouldn't change my opinion on some of their products. From what they've shown they test their products at levels no one shop here stateside does. (my own speculation) there's always the stuff going on behind doors that we don't see, (AMS, Cosworth come to mind) but all I have to say is thanks for sharing!

Quote: You order us in the past some parts. We built them specialy for you and you never buy them because you move to GTR.
Wait, what? He ordered CUSTOM parts, and that cancelled the order leaving your company having invested in making a product for him - and now he's giving you hassle for not having the parts in any cars in the US?

Bloody hell, you're patient.

Again it's not hard to put a PRICE on parts made. show Me a car that's running thats running these parts and i'll gladly eat my words. show me a car on a dyno making these number and I will be the first in line saying wow and we thought you were full of BS. fact is they have done NOTHING tangible for any of us to speak on or see videos of. I'll be the first to tell you that I don't have much knowledge on known aftermarket parts companies on that side of the pond but for them to be making those kinds of claims and those kinds of numbers would've garnered attention, the world over.

Norris Designs. bad *** evo developer across the pond. don't know anyone in the states using their parts but guess what, they had a demo car. most companies worth their salt have something beyond their words and pretty pictures to back up up their work much less their "extreme" claims. yes they come on here and say they have nothing to prove and they are absolutely right, they don't. But don't think the users in this community are all gullible. until there is tangible proof that they aren't all talk and shiny pictures they will continue to get ridiculed and unfortunately their potential customers might catch a little flack. it's evom afterall

Normally I'm the most PC member on this forum but for.some reason this thread has hit a nerve with me that has started to really aggravate me. I feel like the OP is not going to get what he wanted in the end and its a shame if that happens because it's not his fault.

maybe it's just too late for my bs meter to handle anymore crap. sorry.

hopefully it'll be reset tomorrow and I wont be so annoyed.
