I bet you wouldn't even notice a difference if you switched to aluminum.

edit: apparently i'm an idiot for saying that as supposedly they make a huge difference lol. I'll post a review of what I notice..

All bars are finished and we will be painting them tomorrow before they go in for final welding Saturday. Sunday we will be dialing in the car at the track so its ready for the Sport Compact race next weekend. My wife and I have decided leave early Saturday AM for the dyno day at Buschur's, then spend the rest of the afternoon/night at Cedar point. I'm driving the car down...

Going to use the VHT satin black roll bar paint. I've looked at a lot of cages/reviews online of the stuff and looks pretty awesome. I'm also going to eventually get jerry bickel cf protectors for the door bars.

Driveshaft is en-route from Tom/Tscomp. It's a TSCOMP spec/bill engelwood driveshaft. Superior to any aluminum shaft out there available for the Evo platform.. I'll install it next week before we leave for the Shootout.

Pics from Tom:

pictures can show you right off the bat the shaft is well made. normally they use a Spicer 1310 HD u-joint like AWD's but this one is using an even more advanced ujoint or he did something to it that makes it better. that was supposed to be a test shaft which i ran on my car after i had received one before that was too short and created a pulsing sensation.

So they sent a new one which was a mm longer or so, and it corrected it, plus at the same time he tested out more heavier duty hardware on it.

Scott will see once he feels the car with it that it is a bad ****. this shaft is basically the same thing AWD's is so i don't see one being inferior to the other, except for the ujoints on the one i sent Scott are very different and cost 2x more typically. Scott will see when he trys to move them they are not average ujoints that just flop around.

These ones do use a custom rear flange that use upgrade size bolts, but i feel that is overkill and not necessary. so i don't see that as being any kind of benefit.

I am just switching to a carbon fiber driveshaft shop 2pc / CV setup for my personal car and sold Scott my old aluminum shaft.

Funny thing is the CF shaft is about the same weight as the aluminum I sold Scott lol.

However, if you research into driveshafts and do a lot of reading and pay attention to what you're reading you will see carbon fiber absorbs all the torsion and shock and will be safer on the driveline than an aluminum. (Been about a year since i researched into it a lot so i forget some stuff ive read). CF also has a superior elastic memory.

They both have pro's and con's but i wanted the cf shaft for a year now and was just waiting on a company to release one done right. DSS has been working on them for years, and i know their final product is top notch so thats why i went with them.
