small disassemble update.

rear girodisc ultra light rotors. 9.0lbs
rear brake caliper with pads 4.6 without pads 3.5

i expected the calipers to be a little more. so i am kinda bummed out. from what i am told AMS/Wilwood kit weighed in at
rotors 8lbs
calipers 2.3lbs . now i dont know if this is with the bracket and pads or not. i need to find out the facts.

AMS does not offer this kit anymore so i have to find a used set somewhere and the seller to weigh them and be honest about the weights.

any of you guys have this kit and mind weighing it for me?

No. My buddy who used to own dogbox racing is doing it.

No I kept that. I thought with the QM clutches you needed one.

I finally got my hands on 1 front and 1 rear spindle. I will be bringing them with me to my buddy who is doing the cnc work on some other parts. If the price is acceptable I will have them made. But I don't know what it will be available for the market. I did not calculate the spindles into this build because I don't know when or if the project will be done.
Just a FYI you should use the OEM clutch pedal stop on the QM clutches. Adjust it off of the stop pedal stop. Devin from Boostin will tell you that and my car is setup the same way too.

Figured I'd let ya know.

I use the toxic fab pedal stock and works fine also. I bought it before I knew you could use the stock gas pedal one tho.

thank you. i will look into it for sure. what is the reason behind it though? i adjust the clutch from the rod on the upper part of the clutch peddle. but i feel like your talking about something else.

I like the improvements for 2013. JDM rear would definitely set it off nicely.

What I would like to thank you for are your past 6yrs of loyalty. Dan was one of our first customers on Evom. We started building Evo cop systems early in 06' and he purchased one through Ebay. If you are a vendor/company that sells a good product with good customer service this guy is the most loyal customer you can find. He sets goals and attains them!

Thanks Dan!

thanks a lot Craig. that means a lot to me. lets not forget i am loyal to the people who treat me well and back up there product any time an issue rises. granted i have yet to have one but i know you will be there. and in the middle of that the bonus is a great friendship.

UPDATE. its kinda small but its fun. well for my crazy *** that is. spot weld drill bit kit arrived today. i already got 1.6lbs off the car in an hour. i have A LOT more to remove. that is all. ill get a pic up of everything when it is completed. it will be a while though. i have to start pulling the engine bay apart. but with remodeling my house and other projects fun/car time is limited.

i am waiting on someone selling an AMS/Wilwood rear brake kit to weigh them for me to see if its worth swapping over.

catch cans are up for sale
AMS mustache bar is for sale
BBS rims powder coated black for sale.
front and rear sway bars are already sold
Drive shaft sold
turbo kit is still pending.

i dropped the top secret parts off at the CNC shop Saturday. i should have some sort of computer drawing Thursday before they are made. i am so excited for this.

Dan, in the "post your weight reduction" you have the ams rotors listed as 6.4lbs I think.
