That's awesome sorry if I missed it but what hanger are you using ? Modded factory or the full blown or buschur ? you wouldent happen to no of any effects of using say a 255hp in tank with a 400lph in parallel with it ?

I don't believe the 400's are recommended for e85. Yes people run them as we'll as I have. I think I've read where someone ran the 400 with a 255 on the Hobbs. Running it this way you may over run the stock fuel pressure regulator.

I used to use a buschur double pumper. I then bought a hanger and wanted to build my own double pumper which is what I did.

You can run the 400 pump with e85 but Its not recommended. Also yes it is ok to run a 255 and a 400/450 as a second pump. I do not use a stock fpr so I can't comment on any effects.

so was i Patrick. i only bought the FPR kit because honestly i had nothing else to buy. and this last round of tuning i was told the car is out of pump and to try the 400s. well im tired of the car being out of fuel every time i go for a tune so i am solving that issue for ever. and i will need a FPR with this setup.

Damnit dan you should have told me that yesterday i just shipped out an Aeromotive unit w/ gauge i would have sold you for a good price

That's the thing with these cars is after this level you need LOTS of fuel and tough to find a solution w/o going with a dedicated huge pump or multiples

That's part of the reason i'm not really looking to make any more power.

Dan... I nearly lost an engine running a 400 on e85... Before walbro retracted their claims it would work... The ethanol is reacts with the negatively charge carbon of the motors brushes and it eats it up... So after a few weeks it poops out... One lasted me 3 months... The next lasted 9 days... The 450 is a great pump and the motor is seal from the fluid... If you run a 400 on e85 i promise you it will end badly or close to it

I am using the E85 450s.

Good info on the 400s for future users. It's why I didn't go with it. I was told you can bit its not recommended which was good enough for me. The 450 is more money but not near the cost of an engine.

I dont have the stock fpr either i was just wondering because i was running into issues with dual walbro 255 running 29psi plus my base pressure i dont see them fitting with my full blown hanger but i have two stock ones as well so i might try to modify them and use dual 450 as well thanks for the insite.

Use free flow 90s not drilled 90s and not all fpr are equal. I wish I would have measured the orifice on my fuel lab before I sold it. Huge difference between the fuel lab and magnafuel I have now. My fuel system is overkill but I'm still seeing Idc of 93% on 85% ethanol.

If I ever run out of pump from here I'll go to a direct drive system.

Good luck dan.

i use a fuel lab mini FPR. -8 feed and -6 return. it works awesome from what i have seen. on the twin 255's my tuner was i was around 90% on E85 and ID2k's. thats what i am doing the pumps. also my tuner said the FPR will handle the twin 450s without issue.

as for the fittings i am not to sure what your talking about but i was going to re use the BR bolkheads. i have access to a mill and i may just make my own and make them a little different. we will see though. i am spending way to much time on this ''now summer'' project. i did how ever inherent 2 extra double pumpers. LOL. so ill be selling them soon.
