Hey Doc, long time!

I daily drive my 04 Sportback Ralliart as well and have been putting it on the track for the last two seasons. I am finding out that the OEM calipers, paired with upgraded rotors and brake pads, do the job just fine. I am using EBC slotted and dimpled rotors paired with Yellow stuff brake pads and stainless steel braided brake lines. Red stuff brake pads fade on the track although they perform adequately on the street.

Love the photo!

Question about the braided lines. I put a set on mine. I have braided lines going to all four calipers, but it still has an additional pair of rubber lines on the back going to the axles. Did you replace them too, and if so, is the part number the same as the rear hoses to the calipers?

"Did you replace them too"...Yikes, not that I remember...I'd have to look. I'll get back to you on that.

Doc, those "additional pair of rubber lines on the back going to the axles" attach to the ABS sensor so, no, I didn't replace them.

Outlander floor

I know it's been a while since this build started and I know that it's been months since anything was posted(hope everything's ok), but I was wondering if anyone has considered using the outlander rear floor pan to safely use the outlander rear suspension? Earlier into this thread there were concerns for the outlander rear suspension tearing off if it was just welded on to the stock floor. I found diagrams of the lancer rear floor and the outlander rear floor. I think they look pretty similar. Doncarbone did mention the option of using the outlander floor in his thread. This is the lancer floor.
This is the outlander floor.

What do y'all make of this? The site I got the outlander diagram from has the floor for sale at ~$300. Might cost a little less if you went to a junkyard. If these can swap out, then this may open a huge door of opportunity of an awd swap for the lancer community. Credits to doncarbone for initially finding this info.

You likely could use the complete Outlander rear floorpan. If you're going to go through the trouble though I would recommend just using a complete Evo 5-9 rear floor pan. The Evo suspension is designed for motorsports and will yield a better handling car with much more aftermarket support for stuff like swaybars and bushings.

That's Chris.

Yeah, he has the 5speed, evo floorpan, and evo front done. Now he's working on getting the rear wide body done. It was his stupid *** evo III that got me into buying a lancer. I did a photoshoot for him and was hooked lol.

I hope OP is still working on his car.
