Ralliart rear trailing arms wont work for awd, the fwd hubs have a different bearing design and wont accept the awd bearings. I have a set of evo3 trailing arms so I will try them on the evo wagon. I can pretty much make a custom rear diff carrier and cut the spare wheel well for clearance.

Use the AWD Outlander's trailing arms.

Damn my secrets are just slowly coming out

That's the way to go for sure then. What I didn't like about Doncarbone's conversion was the way the Outlander frame was welded on top of the existing frame. It wouldn't be safe to run at 10/10th's like that. I would be afraid of tearing it off.

I knew that. It's the same reason we have to swap to Evo 1-3 trailing arms on the Mirage's. Wow dude, that's awesome! Definitely see if they'll fit! I don't see why they wouldn't.

Haha sorry for pulling your secrets out! Do you have pics of your build by the way? I'm curious to see it. And I agree;
if the Outlander trailing arms fit, then that's absolutely ideal.

I haven't been documenting since I've been so busy, but at this point, with all you guys joining in the fray I might as well start spewing

The Outlander trailing arms definitely fit, and I've even been able to do the rear disk swap easily with it.

For the record, this is my problem with the way Doncarbone did his conversion. Nothing against him or his car; but I would be very nervous to run a car like this on a track. I know he further reinforced it from this point though.

That's freaking awesome! Haha yeah that's me. I don't even own a 6G personally but I love figuring out what parts fit what cars. (I had a bad obsession with Lego's as a kid so that's probably partly to blame LOL) Maybe I can convince my brother-in-law to let me tinker with their 04 Ralliart wagon.

outlander arms would probably be better since they are already 5 lug, dunno why we never thought of that, we can even use those on mirages. Just have to find a set that has disc brakes.

Yeah, I know! I realized that as well! No more importing Evo 3 trailing arms!!! What a win!

If you were able to get the whole EVO floor and wheel wells, you would be able to convert that ralliart into AWD in a span of a week.

The Outlander AWD never came with rear disk brakes for some reason. In order to convert it to rear disk, get the backing plates off of a FWD Outlander with rear disks. The calipers mount on to the backing plates. Then just get the Outlander rear calipers and disks and there u go. Rear disks for everyone!

Not gonna lie, I'm unbelievably stoked to find out this info! It helps the Mirage community out big time as well! Haha that conversion took two years. I wonder if the Ralliart rear disc stuff would work with those trailing arms. My bro-in-law's car already has rear disc stuff being a Ralliart.

Sounds like a pain finding all those parts. All the outlanders at the junkyards seem to have drums. I saw many awd airtrek trailing arms with disc brakes on ebay but they were from germany.

Surprisingly it wasn't hard to find the backing plates. Those were the hardest to source.

As for the calipers and disks, R1concepts.com stocks remanufactured calipers and disks for the Outlander.
