So, yesterday I managed to change the inferior -10an turbo oil drain setup which has just 12mm internal diameter. I custom fabricated the push on -lock fitting with internal diameter of 18mm and connected it with flexibel heat resistant silicone hose and also wrapped it in the Hansaflex heat resistant sleeve.

 

Got a noob question, what is the benefit of the lower crankcase vent to catch can, or downpipes?

 

No noob quastion.
Benefit is to relieve faster possible crankcase pressure from the crankcase (Block).
Not just to vent it from the valve cover.
