Bad ***** 2.0

Not much has happened as of the last couple weeks. I went to the hardware store today and found bolts in lengths to fit my hot parts together.

I'm going to be using Titanium hardware from the head to the downpipe so this stuff was for mockup and getting sizes figured out. I have a speed factory stud kit for the exhaust side of the head and a bunch of titanium bolts on order now.

I've also got this portion of the wiring harness about 50% done. I'm really tired of messing with it, haha!

Also, I miss my car.

Looking great!

Headlight modification looks amazing! What kind of oven cleaner did you use? Did the plastic become pitted after using the oven cleaner?

I had a friend do it. I don't know what he used, but no pitting I do know that much.

So my ortiz custom pod showed up today. Decent looking piece but the distance the pod sticks out is kind of obnoxious. I wasn't anticipating that based on the photo.

Heres the website photo

And here are some photos of the actual product. Is it just my eyes or is the amount it sticks out way different?

I'm going to be using a PLX multigauge so I'm hoping I can just cut it down.

The gauge pod looks like it sticks out wayyyy farther than the photo.

Good thought it was just me. I think I'm just going to trim it down. The PLX multigauge I'm going to be using is only like an inch deep.

Bad ***** 2.0

Couple of small updates. Today I dove in and removed the engine/ecu harness so now I can go wiring crazy comfortably at home.

I also degreased the engine bay and that just makes me want to paint it more, especially seeing the lower area is primer only. No paint!

JR's 2.3L FP Black R2 Build-20160522_172845.jpg

I also found an HKS idle stabilizer in the wiring loom and this weird block with a light on it spliced into the rear o2 sensor wiring. I'll be removing those, but does anyone know what the black thing is? An o2 simulator maybe?

Appears to be a Curt Brown ported intake manifold. He has been known to put a smiley face inside them. I just sent out some parts to him last week.
