Unknown to me, there is actually two parts to the harness. The interior side will typically stay in the car, (it takes a little finesse with a razor) but for those that haven't done this before, you can disconnect the big fuse box from the small fuse box. The engine harness is connected to the small section of the fuse box, and the interior harness is connected to the big section of the fuse box.

September 2020 through February 2021 this is what I've been up to.
"Never put all your eggs in one basket" Last year I was hoping my car would be in the body shop by December. Needless to say, that didn't happen. In a nutshell, I had to eventually reach out to another Body Shop. After speaking with the new shop the ball started to roll again. Around mid January I bought some material to build a work pad for the car. I also bought a tent for some additional coverage from the elements.
After about two weekends the pad was completed and the tent was secured along with the cover put on; the following week I got to work. took a few days off that i had to use from 2020 vacay, so why not lol.
As I'm prepping the car for the body shop, I dis-assembled the front wheel wells and got to work, I went to town with some wire wheels and grinder to knock down the rust as much as possible. It's surprising to see how much rust is actually under the OEM paint.
What's an update without new parts
Finally got my order that I made in May 2020 along with my September order from STM. Both companies were backed up due to Covid, but they sure did their best to get the parts I order off to me.
Last but not least, I also made the push to get some parts that I'm reusing Powder Coated and Ceramic Coated. Wish I could do the entire car lol.
The Before...
The After...
It's all slowly coming together. I'm just hoping and praying to have the car back on the road by mid 2021.
There's a few more things in the pipeline on the way, but we'll have to wait until they reach

you making some darn good progress. do not forget to do the rear subframe mounts. that spot is by far the worse when it comes to acuminating rust. can spray sealant in the all the holes back there like fluid film.

Trust me, I had to battle with myself on what to do regarding the rear subframe. I was legit planning on ordering up a case of fluid film and just going to town. Then I learnt that its more of a anual application and not necessarily permanent (stand to be corrected). I'd like to just get the car running again. Drop the rear subframe later on, and purchase the Ti hardware kit from Evospec Performance, and get the rear subframe powder coated; and of course coat the underside with Fluid Film.

Thanks for the support I was contemplating making some vlogs in the future, but we'll see how that goes. For now, I'll just keep the pictures coming.

Have you been making any progress on this man? I'm getting ready to replace my chassis legs on mine to get rid of some rust so the motivation is always helpful. Pretty much just replacing or cleaning up anything that's rusted. It's becoming a pain in the *** to source anything OEM these days.

It's like you smelt an update coming lol.
Well... Fingers crossed, a friend of mine is going to stop by this weekend to take care of the rust spots in the bay.
I've kind of had it with the run around with local body shops. Eveyone claims they can take me on, and will get in touch; but I honestly think the welding part is what's deterring them from taking in the car. Even had one say "because it wasn't" diving" that would be a problem" ... So... Push it right?
Current plan is to get the bay sorted.
- Drop the subframe and clean that up (maybe powder coat or Por15 it).
- Get the calipers powder coated.
- Clear the parts from local customs and install parts I have coming in from Japan (Evo 9 steering rack, Evo 9 PS pump).
- Get the bay sprayed over.
- Assemble motor, and drop it in.
- Get the car running, break in, insure and license and then tune it.
- Worry about body paint after all this is done. At least they won't have any stupid excuses to pull when it's mobile.
I'll update with pics once the welding is done.
As for parts, I think I I'm done with ordering OEM parts lol.
Things I need to buy to get the car mobile.
- Driveshaft (Carbon version w/ ayc)
- Coilovers (Fortune Auto 500's 10k/12k)
- Brake Pads (Carbotech AX6 or EBC Redstuff pads)
- Wheels and Tires
First time hearing about evospec, they have a lot of bolt kits i maybe buying
Soooo. I've been doing some research on strength. Ti vs OEM bolts.
Our cars come with different grade bolts for majority of the stuff that doesn't have a lot of stress. So Ti bolts for dress up parts are not an issue.
Anthing that's load bearing or under tension, it's usually recommended to use OEM bolts or equivalent.
I don't want to be the guy that knocks on all the Ti suppliers out there, so in a nutshell, I'll just say I'll be replacing my rusty stuff with OEM bolts.
Here’s a good video to watch. Love the commentary 🤣🤣🤣
As promised .2 weekends ago, my buddy showed up to take care of the welding that needed tending to.
Now for the pictures: Please note that the following pics are the before and after of each area that got repaired.
This weekend. Another friend of mine hooked me up with his Body & Paint guy. So he stopped by over the weekend to take a look at the car.
It's about time, but I think I can comfortably say, we might see this thing go into the shop as early as the next two weeks I should have some samples to share in a few days as well.

Hoping you all are in good health, it's been a while. Lets keep this one short and sweet.
The car is officially at the Paint & Body Shop!
But, with happiness; there is also sadness. Made a slight change with the color. It's still going to be Orange, but just a more appealing shade in my honest opinion.
The car is currently prepped for base coat (sanded and taped off), but the crew ran out of the clear coat flake; and more importantly; the clear coat.
So we’re currently awaiting for that to arrive on Island to get things going.
I plan to go there this week, so hopefully we get some more progress updates.
The car needs to be repositioned so that I can drop the front subframe. Planning to have it sand blasted and coated with some POR15 for that nice gloss black finish, with the added protection.
Now that, that’s all out there; here’s some pictures from tow day to prep day.
All washed up.
Def. not impressed lol.
All loaded up.
Stripped down and neked.
Sanded and prepped for primer.
You all know I can’t leave you hanging without showing off some new new.
New spindles nuts, pads & shoes.
Part Numbers.
New Centric Posi Quiet Pro Brake Pads with Centric E-brake shoes and hardware kit.
Driveshaft Shop Aluminum Driveshaft for AYC models.
There’s some other stuff on the way, that hasn’t arrived as yet, but I'll be sure to post once everything arrives.
My car is still sitting on the rotisserie and I haven't touched it in a couple months. I need to remove all the undercoating, replace the rear chassis legs, fix some other rust spots, and then epoxy the underside of the car (white or black, haven't decided yet). I might start a thread once I make some actual progress. You're giving me some motivation though so keep it up!

Got me a bit jealous lol. Wish I had a rotisserie. I'll have to do the under coating myself once I get the car back from the shop. The guys at the shop were trying to edge me on to let them undercoat it, but thankfully I got to see what the final outcome would be like from another Evo friend who got his car done before mine went in. They went black...but, they didn't remove anything. They just went ham with the undercoating on everything, so it's all black. Not my cup of tea.
Black can look so much cleaner when done right. White would look pretty mint too and would go well with your car if you're staying white.
Word of advice on starting your thread. Just start it. That in itself will keep you motivated to get to the next step, and come back right here to post it
Glad to hear I'm giving you inspiration to get back to working on your car. Looking forward to subscribing. Shoot me the link whenever you do so I can lend the hand of encouragement as well
