Thought I'd make a thread about the current Evo project, thought I'd toss it up on my dad's old account.

We purchased this car in 2014 from auction in Japan. Car was from Osaka. This car was a recovered theft, with a blown clutch. Thieves stole the car must've launched it or something
When the car arrived I later figured out about the modifications done, came with fully stripped out interior with buckets which was the first thing we did, tossed some mint Recaros back in. Scary to think that we've had this car almost 8 years and never driven it, in the last year I've actually got some progress done. Maybe have it running this year

Few new parts I forgot to fit into the previous posts,


Mishimoto Evo 9 fan, excited to get this fitted soon. Personally wouldn’t run a Mishimoto radiator as I’ve already got the Blitz this fan will be good though

Still debating to use this surround as I’ve got the gages set up where the Air-con used to be. May change over to this at some point

Finally able tear off that carbon coil cover, and replace it with the this OEM Evo 9 one ☝️

next purchase will be a COP kit, aiming for the STM kit. Anyone have experience with that kit?

Recently had some cool parts I've been waiting on for a long time arrive. Evo V RS Fog light deletes

Going to try and install these over the coming weekend, excited to see how it looks

 

Haven't done too much on this car in a long time, never truly have as we've owned it 6 years and never drove it.


Finally later this week the motor will be pulled and worked on. Following the engine overhaul that we will start the body work, no rust just small scratches, cracks in bumper etc.

I am officially placing the Signal Auto built Evolution 5 for sale. We recently grabbed a car that will replace it.

Hoping to find a USA based buyer, price will include insured storage until it's 25 years old. Aswell as all the needed work to get this thing to tip top shape. Outside needs some love in spots, scratches etc. But no rust, above or below the car.
