I have been a long standing member under the name Jahtoot but I lost the account due to the email being lost.
I’m currently getting my engine built it’s a 2.0.
stock head
hta71 turbo
stock crank
Manley plus h beam rods
weisco hd pistons 9.0 compression
being built by moon performance out here in arizona.
Hks intake
ets IC piping and 3.5 inch intercooler
1000cc fic injectors
The purpose of this build is for the street (oem plus). I enjoy early morning drives out in the twisty country roads here in arizona. I may do one auto x event a year.
I wanted an oem short block but unfortunately those are out of stock now. So I am in the process of getting my block rebuilt as the compression was off. 168,000 miles. Can’t complain !
currently working on just cleaning up the engine bay while the engine is being built.
after the engine, the goal is to focus on suspension and handling related components.
any tips appreciated !!!!

good time to put some stick on vinyl tiles. you'll thank yourself later. put your cardboard creeper inside a big trash bag, it'll last forever
since youre in the south, you might want to remove some undercoating. its just less hassle when working on the car often
Very clean. I remember your car from my old account.
good idea with the garage floor. Sticky tiles are much more affordable than I thought.
I plan to do the flooring once the car gets sent off to the shop for the engine install.
you painted that area (under fender) in white after cleaning?
yeah just buy whatever is on clearance add some gorilla glue so it can handle oil etc. I need to replace mine with plain white but its still good. has marks from jack stands but dont see scuffs sliding the heavy floor jacks side ways
it doesnt look good just removing the gunk so i brush(dabbed) on the paint.
