Buying a 2006 IX RS from PA dealer - anyone on here have any history on this car?
I'm located in IL and I have been in the market for a low mileage, garage kept, and stock 2006 RS and finally found one. Dealer says it is stock and has had two owners. There are only 8500 miles on the odometer. From every thing I can see and from what the dealer tells me it is very clean and at a good price too.
Anyone from PA know anything about this car to let me know if there is something I should look out for prior to purchase? I have the cash and plan on sending it Mon/Tues this week.

Thanks!

Car is clean my advice is get somebody local to that dealership, that owns an evo to go test drive it for you (and give them like 50 bucks for their time)...imo its worth it before you send cash........other than that goodluck bro..

They say it still has a warranty but I do find it out that after 2 owners that car hasn't been modded. Should be able to tell by taking someone with you that has good knowledge of Evos to see if it has been modded or not.
If it hasn't thats seriously a steal. Unmolested Evos are very very rare now-a-days.

Looks clean and stock. But check the trunk area very well. It almost looks like the trunk isnt a match in color. Its hard to tell from the pics and it could just be the lighting. But the shading looks off a little. Even if it had some mods I wouldnt hesitate to buy if everything checks out. Good luck...

"That was owned by a guy in MD. I almost got it last year. He was selling it with like 4k miles or some crazy s__t like that. Super clean."
^The RS that was for sale here on the forums that you are describing went to Ebay, apparently didn't sell and was then picked up by CBRD and advertised for $28k, almost $6k more than what Methodical was selling it for. Looks like CBRD made out like a bandit, buying low and selling high. Sweet car but not worth the huge price hike, regardless of stock status imo.
This particular one looks to be in nice shape as well. I would still try and negotiate further.
In April of 07, I had a chance at a brand new 06 IX RS in White with 27 miles on it in Utah for $24.6k (before t, t & l). Still kicking myself for that missed opportunity...
Good luck
