The big spacer and resulting low offset could be hurting you. I just took the fasteners out of the front of the liners and ziptied them out of the way for now.
have you looked into making your own fender liners?

what would you make them from if you have?

I figured aluminum flashing would be pretty easy to cut with tin snips and shave the edges down enough it wouldn't cut you when you went near it, then I could bend it into the space behind the bumper a bit more to get it away from the wheel.

Yeah, i have an effective +18 offset on a 25.1" tire. But the wheels are so light! LOL.

So, the wheel would move approx 1/8". bleh. I have Vorshlag plates and will have to see how much caster they add, probably the same 1/8" more or less?. I have to think I've done all i can do without ditching the spacers.

And I agree: the chewed up liners makes me angry LOL. Not to mention, i'm having to add screen to the passenger side to keep the wheels from tossing rocks into the oil cooler.

I had planned to make an aluminum liner and rivet some old metal screen (from a house window) or something in there for that too. It could easily work for the factory liners im sure

I've not really spent much time looking into actually doing it though.. Im not the pioneer type lol I like a write up to follow.

The only are that would concern me for fenderliners is protecting the oilcooler on the passenger side, and protecting the wiring that runs through the top of drive fender well and into the firewall. And some .050" 5051 aluminum would do just fine...

i just put in brand new oem liners and made sure to stay half a turn or more away from lock...tore a hole in it in one day. im just gonna have to cut off the front lower portion with the vent until i come up with a better solution. my oil cooler will be moving out to the nose soon.

I also prefer to keep the liners so i don't get any "nipples" in my fenders, again from rocks. I never used to worry about it, but my tires pick up quite a bit of debris when they are warm.

FWIW: I got the idea of the screen from Balrok (I think). I believe it was he that posted pics of his oil cooler and i could see the screen in the background.

I guess i could get creative with my rivet gun and some back/mounting strap.

If we more or less were to delete the fender liners would we need to louver the top of the fenders??

The Evo Dave fender mod looks better than that. I hate the cut out flare look on cars. I really don't even think wide body kits look all that great. Especially considering we can stuff 285's under our cars..

FINALLY, somebody. I hate Voltex so much. I don't care how much wind tunnel testing they did, if you've worked with design you know that not a single one of those ugly lines flows with the design language of the Evo. Every Voltex Evo is ruined forever.

But I can add flares for far less than buying trailing arms. Waaaaaaay less.
Rears, that is. Not too worried about the front.

There's value in trying to keep the car narrow though.

Narrow car makes the course wider. Makes a bigger difference in autocross, but it could help on tight road course.
