Yes !! Thank you . And the rpm dropping all of a sudden like that is irritating. I just changed the sensor for no reason and new oil change 10w30 vr1 like always . ( update ) I just noticed my problem is more on the lines of loss of power I guess . If I let go of the clutch the car is supposed to move forward correct ? Well mine does but he'll very slowly and with the oil light on all the way till the rpm goes back . It's like I lost my take of power lol . I don't know where to look at now. And my check engine light is on for random misfire . I erased the code and it came back when I was messing with the clutch to take off . Somebody please help me with this. I don't want to keep driving my car like this .

Just posted a pic of my spark plugs. They're not bad to my understanding.

I'm sure it's been said, but mine did the same thing and it was a bad sensor. Super cheap fix (probably the only time I've ever been able to say that, with this car LOL).

**edit NVM. I see your RPMs are dipping. That would do it LOL

Change the sensor since you have it. At least eliminate it as the potential issue

The image above I believe is for the Evo 8. The Evo 9 sensor is by the oil filter.

If you have the sensor, you can swap it if you think that's the problem. If I read right, your RPM are dropping? If so, pressure will drop and you will get a light as well (I'm sure it's already been said).
Our sensor is SUPER easy to get to. It's under the car, right near the oil filter.

Yes I saw it and cleaned it and thought that might work but I'll just replace it . It was uncomfortable to get to since I have an fp turbo oil braded line right next to it and axle is right I front of it . So I might need the tool or I'll see how to get it out. And hopefully that cures the low rpm dropping taking off

Forget fixing the idle, the oil pressure switch does nothing but turn on the dash light when oil pressure is low. It is an electrical switch held in the off position by oil pressure. No oil pressure and the switch (and light) is on.

I rarely hear of a failed oil pressure switch on an 8 but it seems quite common on the 9. BTW, I've never seen my oil light on when the engine was running.

with your car already at temperature, come to a complete stop. put it in 1st gear and let go of the clutch slowly no throttle. does your oil light come one ?

That's one is the reasons I made my own oil feed line. I feel ya.
