Yea if i let go of the clutch little by little the car usually moves far enough that 1st gear is fully engaged. in any stick shift vehicle at that. my evo all of a sudden got a lot weak on take off and rpm drops far enough that my oil light comes on and wants to die. Any ways haven't had time to check her out as i am away. just wanted some opinions on what the problem could be.

Yea, the oil pressure sensor doesn't effect idle quality or power. Or anything other than the oil light coming on.

I think the OP saw one problem and imagined a couple of others. Better imagined than real.

Clearly. I still feel like he shouldn't be feeding the clutch without applying throttle to get the car rolling. It's not a big rig, you're just slipping the clutch excessively when you're doing that.

It kinda depends on what you've got. Take a stock engine and a soft OEM clutch and the car will idle in and out of the garage or around the parking lot very happy with no throttle. Cam the engine and put in a hard clutch and its a different animal.

Yeah, but it's a 2.0L, low-compression engine in a 3300lb car. Torqueless wonders aren't meant to be driven like that. I just prefer to not lug the engine.
