At least the dealer is helping, I'm in the market for an Evo and if the engine blows the day after i get one I don't know what I'd do. I had a 2004 Grand Cherokee Overland a few years ago and that engine blew after 550 miles or so. I ended up parting out and never recovered the full amount I wasted on it. I couldn't imagine that happening to a 20k+ car.
Have a shop of your choice look over the car. I was blinded by the low miles and work being done by a highly repeatable shop. Luckily we have emergency money for these types of situations. Never buy a used vehicle without having backup money.
I opened the rear door to clean out my messy backseat, then a massive spider that was in the door jam crawled in there! Slammed the door shut and I went back inside. Now ill never know when itll pop up to say hi whenever im driving. Its dark out and I dont know what its planning to do.. someone hold me

It was winter but I have a furnace in the shop to at least make it liveable when I'm out there working. My wife's new Subaru needed an oil change and I put the drain pan under the drain plug and pulled the plug. As I sat there in surprise, oil shot out sideways landing on the other side of the pan. What a mess.
So, I dragged over a bag of oil dry and started throwing it under the car as the oil pond tried to head for the overhead door. As I was seated there doing this I noticed one of the handfuls of oil dry I scooped out felt kinda wiggly and squishy. I looked down to see this 3.5 inch spider trying to escape but moving slowly due to the cold.
Kill all the spiders!!!
I'm going to be fogging my garage when I roll my new 240 into the garage because it's been sitting outside and has a ton of webs on it.. yuck..
Anyway, I ended up getting the transfer case out of the way and getting my engine bolted down right.
Then I got almost everything else bolted up.. Just waiting on my new evo 6 radiator from FRSport
Realized my evo 8 WGA doesn't work on the HTA71.... Not buying an Evo 9 just to get it running so I made some risers out of an old curtain rod and bent the WGA arm mostly straight and clearanced the housing and bracket...
Then I bought the 240, its a 97 with 212k miles on it, came with a bunch of extras. I've got to get the Evo done so I can get this into my garage and get the 5 speed swap done and then get the engine and transmission in it. (still need to swap the bellhousing to the Ka bellhousing)
Then I bought a garage heater, because anything lower than 40* I can't stand in jeans and a hoody.
Got around to installing Binary Engineering seat lowering brackets on both front seats. Man what a big difference! Also got OEM bolts for my seat belt anchors so the anchors don't flop around anymore
How do the lowering brackets feel when driving long drives with the clutch? I have an exedy twin and stock height on my evo 9 se seats w stock rails.. I bought the car in august and daily drive it 2 hours a day.. my hip is starting to hurt badly.. anyone else have an issue like that?

I commute 1hr to work each way and it makes a noticeable difference as far as comfort goes, I think the main thing is the brackets make the bottom cushion sit more flat/parallel to the floor. One thing I noticed was that I feel the bumps on the road more, probably because the brackets don't flex as much as the stock hardware. Overall I'm glad I got them.
I got some of those seat brackets at your recommendation and from all the positive reviews in the thread he made when he first made them I can't wait to try them!
Motor lasted all of a day after I bought my evo. Pulled the motor, waiting to hear back from the machine shop so i tear the rest down.
This reminds me when I bought my last Evo. 768 a who. 13xxx miles. Lasted me 13 days on the road including the 3 or 4 I couldn't get it to start cause of freezing cold and e85 with a small battery. Glad I sold that headache... good luck with build
