17s vs 18s.. Which setup was more responsive in slower speed bends ?
Without looking at past videos, it feels the same in slower corners whether it was 17s or 18s so it seems to be an underlying issue with my setup. I do have some things I want to try once my rebuilt strut and new OEM control arm arrive
With the spring rates you guys are running, I would assume (without hard data) that 18" wheels have stiffer sidewalls than 17" letting your suspension and shocks do the work.
Probably getting the car retuned once the final word comes out about possible new octane limit and open ECUs. Other than that and suspension tweaks, not much else.

As someone that needs to go to 18s/265s but hasn't, did you run into any issues? did you have to compromise your alignment/ride heights in any way to do it?
I have the Whiteline caster bushings up front after reading Doug's thread but I haven't even attempted to fit them yet (I don't have the wheels).

I didn't really have to change anything regarding the alignment (like the GD STi has to), just needed to raise the car a bit. However, my rear shocks don't allow me to raise the car anymore (need longer shock bodies essentially), so over big bumps I'll rub the edges of the rear fenders a bit (I have the rears rolled). You might also discover the front wheel wells will start to self-clearance with the 265s lol
Got word from MCS about my damper, they said it looked like the piston worked itself loose internally which caused the leak. Though I've had the dampers for just about 2 years now and MCS offers a 1-year warranty, they covered it under their warranty since they said the failure shouldn't have happened in the first place. Outstanding service and really going above and beyond for a customer, happy that I went with MCS
The damper oil was coming up through the top, first noticed it when I pushed down on the button to adjust compression that I saw oil come through . After I got home and took off the strut, I saw the oil was all over the wheel well and some got onto the lower control arm. Got it back yesterday and put it back onto the car a few hours ago though
hm interesting. i may have a small leak on my ohlins as well. nothing like that, but noticed some grease near the top of it, where nothing can really get in as it's covered by the boot
First event in the Evo since Nationals will be this weekend at Crows Landing, after getting the repaired strut and new OEM control arm on the car. Rear bar is set to full stiff (from middle setting) and rear camber has been dialed down a bit from before (-1.7* to -1.4*), hoping for some improvement in the lower speed elements and corner exit on sweepers.
