What is a WW RS? I'm glad there is some one older than me on here that still likes these toys I decided the MR was the more sophisticated grown up version of the Evo. I spent another $3K on it last month. New MMCS Sat Nav system, OEM mudflats and OEM wind deflectors for the doors.

Razorlab.... he does get worked up huh? And, I have to say I am not spreading fake news. I can only go by what the dealers tell me. And I took a screen shot of the website that clearly states 100K/10 year warranty. I laughed so hard when he scanned the entire warranty booklet!
I will get a full work up for the cost of new engine replacement. And I do know the labor charges will go in excess of a grand. Putting in a new engine is not cheap.

WW RS stands for Wicked White (body color was white or Rally red ..only 2 colors) RS stands for Rally Sport. '06 was last year the US received the RS version. Bare bones enthusiast version. Roll up windows, no radio, manual door locks, No sound insulation and no wing. Basically devoid of creature features but still with fantastic Recaro seats. I spent most my $$'s making it go fast and handle somewhat better. Tinting the windows and putting on BBS wheels was about the only thing on the outside that was different from stock. Had to keep under the hood stealthy looking too because CA.

There is a reason we call the dealerships...stealerships.

I didn’t scan it, that is literally from the mitsubishi website. I even gave you the link where you can find all the model years and download them yourself. Get over yourself. Your pride is blinding you.

I’m going by the actual facts. Not a dealer that has no clue. There are thousands of owners on here that have owned these cars for longer than just a couple months. Put in some effort and call Mitsubishi corporate and find out what we all know already.

Here is yet another link that also specifically states the 10y/100k does not apply to Evo and Ralliart: https://www.mitsubishicars.com/who-we-are/warranty.

Welcome to the forums!

I doubt any come out of a factory tinted. The sunroof would be a different thing: you don't have to watch the road around you out of the sunroof where it being too dark would jeopardize safety.

Congrats on the purchase. I live in Lake Stevens just north of you. I bought a one way ticket to Los Angeles 2 months ago and picked up my 2011. Drove back up to SEA in 3 days, it was a blast.

Razorlab is 100% correct. There was never ever ever a 10y/100k warranty on these cars. You can show a website typo to a dealer, it won't get you anything. Most likely they would accuse you of modifying the image. It is clearly printed in the owners manual that comes with these cars, and always has been this way.

Most dealerships are clueless about these cars and the history that ensues. Yonker included. (I always bought my Evos out of WA so have dealt with all of those dealers personally). Which is why warranties are often denied for unrelated things (lowering springs deny an engine, a catback exhaust denies an ACD pump, etc). Mitsubishi is one of the stingiest companies when it comes to warranties, but it really depends on the rep in the area and the dealership.

The engine cost isn't that big of a deal, the MR has a $10k transmission in it that isn't serviceable by the manufacturer. You can however send it off to somewhere like Jacks Transmission and usually get it rebuilt for under $5k.

Warranties on these cars (including aftermarket warranties) have always been a very sore spot with the community. People are often denied for literally no reason given. I'd go over your fine print of your warranty. Go over who is behind the warranty. You should have X amount of days to get a 100% refund on the warranty.

It's your money man, but do yourself a favor and look at all of the warranty threads on here. It's not pretty.

Okay... I am going to do some thing here... I still can't believe Im typing this... it's hard to fathom.. even harder to swallow... MR RAZORLAB... looks like I owe you an apology. And yes.. it hurts. Im not often wrong So, checked with Pierre and engine out's and a re install are under $12K. Also turns out after I asked why the SST gear box is more expensive than an engine... because.. they are made by a company in GERMANY. So.. a Krout gearbox in a Japanese car. I really thought Mitsubishi had great techs to build some thing so complex. Looks like I over estimated their abilities. Learn some thing new every day right?

So, as far these warranty's go I was told that it will give me the 100K mile / 10 Year Power Train as the other cars in the line up. You can get it.. you just have to pay extra. I will take notes and find out from my guys here exactly, in detail what is covered. If I ever had to, I would ship the car back to Denver where I got it from, have them fix it.. then make that Epic drive all over again. (And this time.. come up through OR and not freaking north Idaho and into WA state through the back roads. Not making THAT blunder again)
I can understand a lot stuff not being honored. Well... I cant understand it actually because a warranty is a warranty. I would sue if it ever came to it. And that will cost a lot more money than what it's worth to fix a car.

Okay, on to more fun stuff. Does any one on here have any idea who has new PIAA SUPER SPORZA SILICONE WIPER BLADES as fitted to the FQ440 in the UK? Every where in the US seems to be sold out. I called PIAA in OR and.. yes.. They stopped making them last year. Fantastic. Funnily enough I called PIAA UK and.. they still supply them over there.

Secondly, does any one, or has any one fitted the Ralli Art Cat Back Exhaust? Is it worth the money? $981. And the Rally Art Racing Air Filter? $98. I figure the Ralli Art stuff is a division of Mitsubishi so I should not void any thing warranty wise if I just change one or two small things right? Just curious. Not saying I will.. just wondering if any else has any Ralli Art gear added to their cars?

Please stay on topic y'all

Ralliart is not a division at Mitsubishi. They were more like partners, and it won't avoid voiding the warranty. It really depends on your dealership, but some have a rule of in front of the MAF and behind the cat won't void the warranty.

The Ralliart exhaust is just an axle back muffler. It bolts onto the existing mid pipe, so doesn't do much for opening up, especially compared to the 2014+ exhaust. IIRC it is the same as the HKS legamax muffler, and I believe HKS actually made the Ralliart muffler for Ralliart. (The legamax doesn't do much for gains, more sound than anything).

The Ralliart sports drop-in filter does help a little bit (I actually have one on my FE). The problem is the newest version is not as good as the original they had from 2008->2012. It used to be a mesh gauze like fabric that was serviceable. Now it is very similar to what we have in our cars but red and breathes a little better. Enough to hear a bit of the diverter valve. I only got it because I'm a Ralliart *****, along with my Ralliart valve cover, oil cap, radiator cap, shift knob and strut bar.

I've tried to find other Ralliart parts (like intercooler piping) but most parts are impossible to get since Ralliart claimed bankruptcy in 2010 (http://www.ralliart.com/10topics/100310.html).

If you're looking for a good exhaust that is quiet, light and gets gains, look at the HKS Hi-Power L-Spec.

Finally on the PIAA wipers, try calling Perrin Performance in Hillsboro, OR. That is the last place I got my PIAA wipers from.

Migs.. thanks for the info. I will check and see how far I can go without voiding the warranty. Interesting stuff on Ralliart. They do however still have an up and running website:
http://www.ralliart.co.jp/catalogue/evo10/index.html

A lot of toys still available it would appear. I just recently bagged a pair of Ralliart Stainless Heat Shield's off eBay for roughly $390 with shipping. I called a dealer in the U.K. and he quoted 500+Pound/Sterling. That equates to almost $700 with shipping.

I did not know that HKS made Ralliart gear. Where are they based? The US or overseas? Please excuse my ignorance here, but I am not used to buying cars that are or can be "modded". This whole concept is alien to me. Every performance car I have ever purchased in my 52 years came with, as standard any thing that was needed to complete it to perfection. My Golf GTI MKII 16v in 1992, Audi S4 Turbo in 1998, and Porsche Boxster in 2000 never needed any thing aftermarket to advance their performance or looks.

I called Perrin in OR this morning. They do not carry nor have in stock any PIAA Super Sporza Slicone Blades. They have only the one model and that was the Super Silicone. So, I went back to the UK and looked at eBay.co.uk.. and bingo. Found a new pair of Super Sporza Silicone 26" blades that are now speeding their way to me as I write this. My fingers are crossed that it is a universal fitting for LH and RH drive cars. I also found a great Japanese/Asian? site that carries every model of PIAA blades. Even ones that are not available any where else in the world. Pretty amazing:
http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/safety/piaa/wiper.php

I will order some Ralliart gear. Curious how the Ralliart exhaust differs, if any from the KKS Hi-Power L Spec?

HKS Hi-Power L-Spec and the Ralliart muffler and completely different exhausts. The HKS Legamax and sports muffler are the same muffler. The Legamax, you can get a mid-pipe with it and has different tips. Which is a 2.5" or 2.75" (I don't recall which) diameter on the pipe. The L-Spec is a full 3" pipe (bigger the better for turbo cars) with dual muffler cans and carbon fiber tips.

Ralliart and HKS are based out of Japan. HKS is considered one of the JDM companies that push aftermarket products for many cars that is usually high quality. They have been around since the 70s.

Sigma Speed is a great company to work with. Some others to look at is RHDJapan.com, JapanParts.com and Nengun.com if you're really interested in JDM parts.

Be very careful with eBay and JDM parts. There are a lot of chinese knock-offs out there. It is quite hard to get real Ralliart parts off of eBay now days.

Here is the link to the Ralliart Heat Shields on ebay. They look pretty damn genuine to me and being shipped out of Japan. Take a look tell me what you think..

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-...72.m2749.l2649

Thanks for the clarification on the exhausts. I am pretty sure the FQ400 and 440 were equipped with a lot JDM pieces. I cant remember but it rings a bell.

Yah those look legit. You should be good there. (just be careful in future purchases, coming from japan is usually a good sign).

Thanks! I looked at them hard and long before hitting the buy button. I just couldn't stomach paying 500 UK Pounds plus shipping from a dealer in London. And I'm not even sure those would be stainless steel. They made Carbon ones that were sold in Europe. See pic below.
I also bagged my long sort after PIAA Super Sporza Silicone Blades from the UK. The seller told me they are a universal fit so should be good there. I will look them over once they arrive and if I'm happy, buy another set before they too get discontinued. AND... from Canada got the very elusive S-AWC badges that were on the cars shipped up there.. see pic here:

I pulled this off the web as mine have not arrived just yet.
These are the Carbon Fiber Heat Shields sold by Mitsubishi in Japan or Europe. These may be the 500 UK Sterling ones. I don't think the stainless were sold in the UK.
And thank you for the advise on being careful on ebay. I have been very fortunate over the years and have not purchased bad stuff that was knocked off.
As far as the wipers go that are OEM with my car, I drove it 60 miles round trip today for a business meeting in Fircrest and when driving home it was pissing down with rain. Doing over 65mph on I5 my wipers were really not that good. Pretty crap actually. I don't know.. seems in Europe for the manufactures / dealers seem to put more thought into the wiper blades than what I have seen in the US.

Sounds like you purchased it to keep it stock and keep it under warranty. Nothing wrong with that. Enjoy what it has to offer. It is a lil beast from factory for sure.

If you paid $3500 plus for the warranty to 100K and an extra $3000 plus for a radio upgrade and a few external cosmetic accessories at the dealer, you already have $6500 additional dollars spent on it. So yes I would for sure keep it simple after that.

I am 51 years old my self and I too love my 2015 MR.

I probably voided the warranty at 1500 miles lol. Now my MR has 30K miles or so. But I have gone a different route. I bolted on a few parts such as the intercooler and the intercooler upper pipe and an air intake and few other things. It is probably making 500 bhp .

You want to talk about objects in the rear view mirror disappearing fast lol. It is a blast to drive.

If you ever decide to upgrade a few things hit me up and I will advise what to get. And you will be getting advice from one of the fastest stock turbo Evo X MR's in the Continental US as you put it on your first post .

Happy New Year to you and everyone reading
Hello my old matey.. so, after 6,000 miles and two oil changes I am ready to add 3 items. Just needed some input here. I am going to order from Japan parts:

1) Ralliart Sport Air Filter ($90)
2) Ralliart Sport Muffler -Axelback Exhaust ($1000)
3) HKS Intercooler Piping kit. ($500)

Just by doing the above, can any one tell about how much increase in BHP that would give? My tech told me roughly 20 in total. And all of the above was approved by the dealership rep to not void the warranty.

Oh.. and I pulled the trigger on the OEM Aero Kit and... ( I cant believe I'm actually having to do this) the leather sport Recaro OEM from the 2014 model year. Every thing arrived at my dealers parts department except the drivers side back portion of the seat... it's coming from Japan so 4 weeks away. And all of these boxes including fitting? $14,000. I feel like being ill.

OEM Recaro Leather Heated Seats and OEM Aero Kit.
