^ i've read that as well. does Dunlop own Falken or something? star spec z2's worked well when i used them, wore very well too. but yea RS4s are right now out in the size I need and Falkens are much less expensive

No idea, I just heard from other auto crossers about the compounds being the same. I got the 615k+'s when they first released and they had a $100 rebate going on on top of the 615k+'s if you bought 4. So cheap(compared to the same tire size/category)but still expensive because 500 bucks is still 500 bucks. Lasted me a year with over 10k miles and 14 autocross events, at wear bars now.

good to hear, thanks. 14 ax events = roughly what, 80 runs for you? i'll put on about 100 runs, but with about 1k miles. likewise, probably ~20 20-minute track sessions on the other set, with 1k miles also

More of a on topic I installed coilovers, swapped out my oem strut/swift sports springs. I was getting more understeer and car was more of a point and shoot. Car had more positive rake when setup initially on the coilovers. I raised the fronts by half a foot. The cars rake is more neutral now and I was running the tarmac_gravel acd mode prior and I changed it to tarmac_snow and now the car is a lot more neutral and I will get oversteer on mid speed corners if I take it too fast. Definitely a lot better, just need to get rid of slow speed corner understeer.

I ran stock-sized R-S4s at Laguna Seca and loved them. I don't remember them ever getting overheated and they just stuck. Granted, MRLS has banking on most of their turns LOL but I was really impressed, considering how small they are. I did an autox event with them also, and have nothing but good things to say. If I don't run NT-01s, I'll be using the R-S4. I loved the R-S3, so not surprised I like these also. I'm really, really glad they are so reasonably priced.
They stuck well enough to do this (full throttle, 3rd gear)

This has me curious, as I've never heard anyone that liked Falkens. Any more details?

is there any car that doesn't understeer on some of the elements on a course like that? lol. removing understeer from the tight corners is going to add a lot of oversteer anywhere else i'd think

kyoo,

Have you gotten a chance to review tscompusa's ACD mapping? Curious to know the difference between ER's ACD mapping.

i have not. as far as i can tell it sounds similar. the gruppe-s & acd tuning (both of which i HAVE had and run extensively), i think they just increased lock-up everywhere, which honestly resulted in binding on turn-in. the biggest difference i've noticed with ER's is how much better it works for corner entry, where you want LESS lock-up. English Racing has worked with a well known ACD tuner in Europe for their tunes, customized for USDM evos with no AYC. I cannot speak to where any other tuner has gotten their tunes from, as I do not know.

So you would suggest ER over TSComptuned?

Yes, ER over TSComptuned is my recommendation.
More than sure you don't know me as I was out for years, but I'm the guy who first tuned this ACD ECUs, I did worked with ER in the past on this and I'm from Europe.

I was led to believe they were all basically using the same tunes. Maybe not....?
