Shep upgraded rear diff

If you haven't done this yet you should, it actually has fixed some of the built in understeer these cars have, the more I drove it the more benifits ive seen, one is it drives more like a rear drive car and two off the line traction has greatly improved. Takes just under an hour with hand tools to swap the diff out on a lift, be sure to use a trans jack to support the front. Another install note is be sure to run factory Diaqueen LSD fluid, the dif will chatter for a few miles on tight turns, Shep suggested to do some figure eights in a parking lot to break in the clutch's, I now have zero noise in any situation.

How quick was your turnatound time from Shep?

How comparable is this to TRE's Maaxlock rear diffs?

Couple of days and I believe it to be the same service, it's the way the EVO should have been stock.

Why factory oil and not MT 90? Shep usually suggest the Redline over factory

For the tranny, yes. Not the diffs.

Nice, sounds pretty comparable to the Tre. I actually got the cusco 1.5 way rs, just cuz of some difficulty contacting some people etc, but i'm sure they all work fairly similarly.

definitely something all usdm ct9a cars should do!

There's some good threads on these in the drivetrain and motorsports forums. Not sure why this is still in this forum to be honest.

Ahh...I understand. I deleted the post after I got your PM, as it's easier to discuss things that way. Thanks very much for getting in touch!

Care to share your questions and the answers FJF? Typically you would be one to ask quality questions we are all likely wondering.
