OEM vs Billet Water Pump Pulley?

I've come across a Billet Water Pump Pulley for the Evo 4-9 and I'm curious about the benefits it would offer.

From what I've researched and what it states on the website, the OEM WP pulley is not supposed to spin faster than 7000 RPMs as it can cause an increase in coolant pressure and cavitation.

If there's anyone who can chime in with knowledge or experience on this topic, please do. If it does provide a benefit, I am willing to make the purchase.

My current rev limit is set at 9k, so if what is stated is true I will jump on it right away. Thanks.

What are you doing with the car? The factory sized pulley is appropriate for cars being used on track, going to a larger pulley will make the car run hotter.

The car is primarily street driven, I do plan on taking it to a few track days in the future.

I can see how in normal driving conditions under 7k how the car will run a little hotter with the Billet WPP however is that a better option than letting the factory WPP spin faster up to 9k?

What would you guys do because I am conflicted. I have been using the OEM WPP just fine, I just happened to come across this and want to see if anyone recommends it or can give any feedback.

Do not put a larger WP pulley on. You will run into ECT issues. These engines need all the water flow they can get under sustained load.
