Probably not gonna happend, but I would love an opportunity to vote on such issues. But who ever said that this site was a democratic republic. Still I think that would be great if we had a vote on this issue, to end this once and for all.

Street Racing is Illegal which mean you wont see it on this site. It is also the reason cops are dicks to us whenthey see us driving down the road or pull us over. Save it for the track....

This thread should be locked!

Why should this thread be locked? Just because he is expressing his opinion? I know this site isn't democratic, but I didn't know it was communist. So the slight mention of street racing means censorship, that's sad in my opinion. I know street racing is illegal, but so is speeding and we all pretty much threw that law out the window. To ignore the fact that street racing exists I believe is stupid, it does and has been around a lot longer than the EVO, or even Mitsubishi. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that people should be given an opportunity to express themselves, and perhaps vote on such a subject, with out fear of total censorship. If a street racing portion was allowed, I'm all for tight regulations, but atleast give it a chance. I believe it was tried on this site before and didn't work out, well try again, make the appropriate changes to make it work better. To ignore the existence of street racing is dumb, and rather you acknowledge it or not, it will always be around. Plus let's not forget what this website is for, fun, it's all in fun, let's stop taking everything so serious.

Plus I believe the internet is one the last remain places were people are still allowed to express themselves freely, or is that slowly disappearing too.

I vote yes on a street racing section. I mean why did we buy an Evo? So we could get a red light with a Mustang or any sports car and not share with the Evo community our results? I mean this is why I have to post my stories on other websites. Plenty of other sites have "your car" vs the world forum. I don't care what some people say on this site. Everyone comes in contact with a car on the street, that they want to run. EVERYONE!

For all those saying yes to the street racing section... you guys need to hand over your keys. The Evo should be taken to a TRACK or a STRIP in order to race it with all the safety precautions. If you cant afford to take it to the track or the strip then you shouldnt have bought the Evo in the first place... Just because you bought a "performance car" doesnt give you the right to drive like maniacs on the street. As an administrator of www.sclc.net I would like to support the admin's decision here to censor street racing completely because not only is it illegal but it's just not right. So my opinion is NO street racing forum and for all you jerkwads who do street race, take it to a ****ing track before you kill yourselves or others.

DITTO! i would definetly vote yes why?.. because people always pull next to an evo and try to race it no matter what POS they drive, and of course being an evo owner it is very hard to resist not to trash on the honda w/body kit+fartcan

This site ( www.evolutionm.net ) belongs to Mark Modaressi and he runs the site as he feels fit. Because this is Mark's site you abide by Mark's rules, your rights do not apply here (i.e. freedom of speech, expression, press).

"street racing" does not imply reckless endangerment of innocents or even ourselves for that matter. A completley empty road at 3 in the morning with good visability and reasonable limits to the racing is not going to harm anyone. Get off your soapbox.

And what if there happens to be a kid wandering about that late in the morning... or if there are other cars on the road (which there are). Yes it will cause harm at some point or another. Just because you do it and you aren't caught or dont harm anyone doesnt make it right.

Yeah, it is Mark's site, he can do what he wants, there aren't any laws protecting our freedoms online... just like there aren't any laws of what we can talk about online... and furthermore, there's streetracing talk ALL OVER s2ki.net, and a few other car sites... I really don't care where this goes, but it is a stupid rule.

I highly doubt kids wander across highways at 3 in the morning. And we have common sense, you see tailights, you slow down. Simple, no money at stake just a little friendly competition.
