I noticed there are no forums in the evo section for the Audio stuff ... I was looking to place a post about proper size speakers that will fit in th stock locations on the evo and cant seem to find a forum to post in.

 

Post it in Show & Shine. It's been the usual place for those topics. Read the description for that forum.

yeah show and hine doesn't have much as far as audio systems go. most of the stuff in there is just pics of people exteriors and has nothing to do with I.C.E.

also unless you read the tiny print under theath show/shine you would never know it's where you're supposed to post that. there isn't even any sticky's in there of a "post your setup" or something thread for people to show off their custom systems.

i've been looking to see what people have been doing with boxes and rear stress bars but no luck.

 

Given that the 3 cars are more or less identical from an audio standpoint, could the Lancer Audio section by turned into a general forum?

 

^ thats always a posibility. If we have not other choice i would take that .....but I still feel a dedicated forum in the evo secton would be tight. Its takes a whole 30secs to make in the VB admin panel.

 

We hesitate adding new forums all the time because it creates as much clutter and confusion as it solves.

 

Yea I can understand that as the "advanced" evo section everyone was a little confused on what goes in there.... but there really is no evo auido / video section as show and sine is more for just showing off photos of your mods, so posting audio stuff in there is like removing the wheels and tires forum and telling people to post there wheels in there as well.

I know another reason you guys dont like to do it is the post count will be low for a few months and advertisers will look at it as if the forums are not getting a lot of traffic, however the upside to this is maybe you can get some Audio/Video sponsors to sponsor that forum directly and make even more $$$ for the site

 

I'm with Billy - the Lancers are all the same on the inside, so combining the Lancer Audio forum into a Everyone Audio forum would be the easiest.

Then the Evo owners could all laugh at the crappy interiors on Lancer ES models...

edit - which kinda reminds me... if we did merge it, I'd really be concerned about a lot of "but it's only a Lancer, why bother" comments popping up...

 

you could always add a sub forum to show and shine for ICE

i guess the lancer one would work. there really only needs to be one audio forum if it's all the same. plus people might get some good ideas from each other.

just make some sticky's/how-to's of all the basic questions like what do i need to install an amp, what size speakers do i use blah blah.

 

You get that from the trolls anyway.
