My question is- Since I am able to log on/view this website by using a proxy from my home computer, (which in my understanding hides/cloaks my identity, or my computer's ip address) , could that possibly mean that evom has banned my home computer's access? or is it that my route to evom simply doenst work anymore from home, and if so what might have caused this sudden block on only one specific website?
thanks for all the help so far

Did you get this resolved?
This happened to me previously.
Do you have cable? What router/gateway are you using?
What happens sometimes is home router devices can get stuck on the WAN address when Comcast has changed your address the router doesn't pick it up and you are stuck on ytour old address. It's weird because it keeps DHCPing the old address even though it is not valid. This happened to me on an SMC router.
Turn off your router completely and unplug your WAN cable from the modem and plug it into anything that will dhcp it an address. For example, plug your WAN port into your LAN port of your router and turn it on. View your routers page to ensure it got an address on the WAN port that matches your LAN. Then turn the router off and unplug your modem. Reconnect the router WAN to the Modem and turn the router on and plug the modem back in.
When I experienced this issue I had no problems with anything on the internet except this site. It just so happens that this is site is in a different route plan then say google for your ISP.

Looks like a possible spybot redirect browser hyjack.

I\'m going to call comcast now and ask them to force a DHCP release/renew of my address, they should be able to. ISP I worked for in the past would do that. Maybe that will help.
