I agree. I definately dont wish street racers or anyone die but if something were to happen they only have themself to blame. You assume the risk each time you do something like that.

 

agreed, poor choice of words on my part. I just wanted to put things into perspective. I see valid points made on both sides of the arguement. I also understand that on the public streets when you decide to race you already should have some idea in your mind that you could kill yourself and kill people that aren't involved and had no choice at all. So I guess by making that decision you acknowledge basically that you don't care either way.

The drivers who street race don't think about the passengers or other cars on the road when they "think" they are having fun. In reality, they are endangering everyones lives on the road. For example, a couple weeks ago my friends friend from college was taking four of my friends to a restaurant on a really hilly road. The driver was high and had a little alcohol in his system but nobody knew. The reason was because he was Muslim. I wouldn't have expected him to drink especially since it was against our religion. This guy flew over a hill going an upwards of 130 mph, lost control and hit a tree. Two of my friends died instantly and the other two were air rushed to a nearby hospital. The driver? He survived and was thrown out of the car and was still talking. The driver was the only one not wearing his seatbelt, everyone else was.......isn't it amazing how that works? Now all four of my friends have perished because of what? A stupid driver that didn't think about other people on the road or the people with him. The driver has been released from the hospital and yes I dislike like him A LOT, but I wouldn't want him to die. I would grieve for him if he did but luckily he survived. I have learned an important lesson from this and this will stick with me for the rest of my life. Next time I get behind the wheel of a car I ask myself........if I race or speed do I really want to take the burden or killing one of my own family or friends or even someone else on the road because of my stupidity? No one deserves to die in this world but when **** happens, it happens. There is nothing anyone of us can do about it. Just respect the rules of the road and reach your destination safely.

 

Accidents are not the only factor of insurance going up. there's a lot of crap that makes it go up. Cars getting stolen and also depends on where you live. So getting to an accident is not the only thing that raises insurance. Oh and the company being greedy is a factor to. IMO

 

It's funny how there's more censorship on this website for comments made against vendors or mods opposed to unfortunate deaths involving auto enthusiasts. IMO, negative comments against the people that died can mostly be left unsaid or deleted as it serves no purpose and it's all something we've heard many times.

nobody has control over insurance just like gas prices so knock that one out then there is that lil tiny thing called respect dosent matter if they were at fault or not its been said in this lil tiny thread that they belong to somebody just like you do think about if you drove like a jack *** all the time they died one day you wouldent want people to be like serves you him right you would wanna feel missed and loved and if you say no i say bull **** and would say thats the biggest lie ive ever heard put your self in somebody else shoes

 

yea its fact he was street racing and made a stupid mistake which cost him his life.
Everyone on this forum has put the pedal to the metal in their car on a public road.
And if u say u havent ur lieing. Does this mean you deserver to die? No. A moment of fun sayin hey lets race this mustang on the highway! People dont think anything more of it. a car probaly pulled out on him and he tried to avoid hitting someone and lost control.

If it was ur brother you would be devestated and try to think everyway possible to say it wasnt his fault. But if its someone random u just make fun of the idea of someone losing their life cause it doesnt affect you. This is someones friend, roomate, soulmate, or some other relation. and for someone to show no pity at all is just cold blooded. People who are cold blooded and show no mercy are useally in jail.

About the person the OP is referring to... i dont think i would ever say he deserves it, people who intentionally murder people deserve to die, people who rape defenseless children deserve to die, a person joy riding doesnt deserve anything negative to happen to him. Passengers have mouths, they can say hey dont, or let me out just as easy as he could make the decision to not race his car. That isnt same decision people around him get to make though as he smashes into their cars recklessly and kills them.

There has been some great single sentence comments made about this...
"would you still think this way if it was your sister in the car" - with how i think, yes i would.... id be mad as hell at him, yes, but she could of gotten out of the car as well.

"would you think this way if smashed into a family member of yours and killed them" - i think that would change the OP's mind on this matter

As far as the MODS go, SASD seems to be a little harsh about the subject... maybe he has lost someone on the opposite side of the matter, maybe he is just that way. Im glad they finally decided to not censor something. Personally i dont have the greatest feelings towards him from a previous experience, however Speed Limit is very good at making sure he is impartial, respectful and professional. Thanks for allowing people to voice their opinions....

 

Are we done now? From reading through, it does at least seem like we've all come to a general understanding that we're allowed to disagree. This is an Internet forum, you're bound to see opinions you don't like. You just have to take it in stride and move on.
