Emmisions testing is just around the corner.....

The good point is that even if you have a cel, you can always do the snif test. This is espically good for those with constant P0300 codes.
I currently run a UTEC, and the obd2 port is showing no issues. I had mine checked recently at my in-laws oil/inspection (Kwik Kar oil and lube) shop.

If you have enough information, I believe it is around 40 miles, and have no cel then the shop will hook up to your obd2 port, and then you are done. If you have cels or have less than 40 miles on the reset ecu, then you can opt for the snif test.
I personally know that mine wont pass the sniff test, but a little trouble shooting my fuel map and my perrion o2 sim, and I am good.
Hope this helps!
Hey guys. I had my car inspected last month and I asked a few questions about the upcoming emissions testing in Austin. He said there is no dyno or sniffer. All they do in Austin is take a reading from your OBDII if you car is 96' (I think) or newer. As long as you're not getting any errors you should pass. Note, other areas are different...like Dallas and Houston. I think both have dynos.
