JoTech has a two wheel, so he rents Alamos. Last I heard John was breaking it in, but was having ECU problems. Im sure he will do his best to bring it to NTEC this Tues.

Yeah, I forgot that the stock ecu had been flashed by an ecutek dealer and it was locked. Right now it's at TT getting flashed back to stock and I should have it back any day now. The car is sitting with 250 miles on it now so I have some driving to do once it gets back.

I have a HKS v-pro which still retains some of the functions of the stock ecu. I didn't think anyone could get into it since ecutek locks it, at least the dealership couldn't do anything with it. That's too bad, I should have called you first. Kevin, you don't happen to have the JDM mivec map do you?

Well the car was on the dyno today and so far I'm pretty happy with the result. On 93 octane at 21lbs it made 490whp and 387tq. Kenny tried to turn the boost up but the intercooler pipe at the throttle body kept blowing off, even with t-bolt clamps. He got up to 566whp, and we stopped there until we get that fixed. The problem was the throttle body is a bbk unit for a mustang, and the lip on it is just too small. It's an easy fix, but caused all sorts of problems towards the end of the day.

In the next few days I'll post up some dyno sheets and the car should finished with the race gas map.

I think he's refering to Chris's original setup which was a 35r, that's what he was running when most of the videos were taken. I don't know for a fact, but I'd be willing to bet they upgraded the ignition when he put on the 42r.

Original set up was a 35r, his setup is what my car was set up to imitate, it was later changed to the 42r. I'm assuming your talking about the EVO from the srvids videos on youtube.

Why did you go with the hks v-pro? Oh and what gear did they do the dyno pull in?

I picked it for two reasons. The most important is that ecu is the one Kenny is most comfortable with, and likes best. Also because it retains some simple functions of the stock ecu, like cold start-up. With the AEM it takes a little longer to start the car. With the v-pro it fires right up like stock. It also has a higher resolution than the AEM. This pull was in third gear, at 7800rpm.

how much boost for the 566whp pull? 491whp is good for only 21psi. I made 440whp at 22psi on a 35r on alamos dyno.
