throw some better springs? hes got a cosworth head! cosworth springs are far better then revolver springs... besides, the cosworth springs wont effect the idle at all which was the problem with the revolvers on stock ecu.

The revolver springs were a dual spring set up if my memory serves me right. From the looks of it, he has a single spring set up in his head which probably would cause idle issues from what I've been told.

Off topic!

The revolvers he is talking about came out of my car, built by buschur when evoMOJO had it. i dont know if they are the revolver springs or not, but the orginal springs that where in the car with the revolvers are in my head, and they are a single springs. I bought MOJO's car

Kelly is notorious for runing the track with his A/C on, and basicly never has the A/C off. He also desires a very streetable "stock" running car, so a less aggressive cam preform over all better for Kelly's needs. He has a relatively small turbo as well which doesn't always benefit by having large cams.

not the case. i don't know if the revolvers are dual springs, but a dual spring and a single spring will idle the same. they are both springs. the advantage of a dual spring is you have a higher spring rate, which can be achieved by a stiffer single spring (which the cosworths are). the higher the spring rate the less likely it will float at very high RPMs. but remember a cosworth head is good to 10,500 rpm. so there is NO advantage to using a revolver spring over a cosworth spring. (also the cosworth spring can handle very large lift cams( i beleive they said 13mm or more which is way bigger then anything i've seen).

i still cant believe we are discussing the quality of a cosworth head (i.e. formula 1 engine manufacturer, top of the line parts, CNCed and engineer components), vs revolver who went out of business because of the horrible quality control related to their valve springs and cams.

Did Cosworth return to Formula 1 this season? They quietly bowed out of manufactoring f1 engines two years ago due to the ever growing and bigger manufactors such as Honda, Toyota, BMW, and Ferrari. The title was "The Day the Racing World Stood Still", a sad day for sure. I read somewhere that they were planning on re-grouping and trying to come back in 2010. Now they are making engines for airplanes as well as performance car parts.
