NTEC's Official Social Thread [MegaMerga]
Thats fine with everything being cleaned up. But Like even said you put four major topics together. Is there away to at least remove the north texas evo people bios and put it back to Its own Topic?
OK, so we are the bad guys for enforcing our rules.....strange....
Not at all, no need for all of that....you're speaking your mind.

If you want a sub-forum that you can Mod yourself, you are quite right about one thing: it takes money. Money to run your own website. Until then, we AGAIN request you respect our rules and guidelines, and feel free to stay as long as you like.

SASD209
this is worse than our last NTEC meeting...lol.
i just realized that i might be one of the original people on this site that is still active...i havent seen anyone before August 2002...not even the mods..well WestSideBilly and RobertK got me by a few months...I wana be a mod too...like a honorary mod...just cause ive been here for soooooo long.

Ok, while I disagree, if you want use to have a club giant mondo social thread, Fine we can do that, we can start it, but let the active topics of the time die out before merge them all together!
This thread is absolutely trashed... it just unreadable, and everything we where discussing at the time is lost!
In reality, the only thing that changed from the normal day to day posting was we started adding NTEC in the title to distinguish the NTEC threads....
If you want to remove clutter, how about focusing on removing the thousands of threads asking " whats BOV do I use of this turbo...etc" or the thousands of threads " will the red work with these cams.... are the kelfords good cams??etc" Thats stuff is clutter on the main tech forums.. everywhere! Another good one is the forsale section, there are 1000s of thread, that end in "SOLD" or "Mods please delete" And the other countless threads posted in the wrong section with post " Mods please move"

i want to open a dialog between the admins and members of the north texas region and its vendors.
first from our point of view:
1) no rules were broken, yet both robertK and SASD209 are treating this issue like our threads (which are very informative and useful) are breaking rules/cluttering the internet/causing problems/running people away from evom. RobertK has repeatedly deleted threads by vendors about events hosted by them. this has been an issue in the past, and the reason there is a sticky at the top of the south region called "events: please read". if we were not breaking any rules by making informative posts, what was the problem that required combining everything into 1? if clutter is the problem, wouldn't making the event schedule a sticky so we don't need to make a new post every time help?
2) my comments about robert that you deleted SAS, were well deserved on his part by his post concerning my questions. his comment was rude, and uncalled for. ask anyone from our region who has tried to deal with him the response he gives. the answer is always unwilling to negotiate, and "xxxx and I had separate talks w/ him and both of us got irrational, inflamatory responses that made us both individuallly realize we were mistaken to have even corresponded w/him in the first place"
3)is this the image Internet brands wants to be portrayed by? - we don't need your money or your vendors. we have vendors lined up out the door waiting to pay to advertise. - we don't want your clutter in the south region so go make your own webpage and keep your traffic off ours
"Nobody is running anybody off....we're just not caving into demands that we do not see a compelling reason for. We were offering a solution for your posting problem...if it takes traffic away but makes the most sense for your club, so be it. "
we didn't have any demands. we asked a simple question, can we have a moderator? - no can we have a subforum? -no ok, no big deal, we will just keep doing what we have always done. then you go and say we are cluttering the internet? and merge everything into one? how does that solve anything. i even asked a question about the use of the social groups functio that has been added recently, and you deleted it.
i don't know what to do. i think many of the other car clubs/regions would like a better way of communicating as well and possibly admin/mods can use user feedback to improve the webpage rather then shoving everything in the regional sites into a corner.

Proves my point that certain Admins with 0 professional people skills have 0 business being an Admin on this website. How did they obtain their position to begin with?
To ask again what I did in a PM to a mod, Who regulates the admins? Is it a good business model to be rude insult then delete posts (the ones which do not break any written or posted rules of this forum), then ban people to "flex" your e-power?
Businesses all have to have guidelines and rules to be successful for sure. Again who ensures that EvoM is going to continue on that path?

I missed most of midnight exchanges (thank goodness), but I am in agreement with one of SASD209's earlier posts -
I am completely in favor of eliminating thread duplication and following the Evom rules. It seems that this latest mass merge of dis-similar threads has created a bit of a mess that we need to get past.
North Texas, not NTEC per se, contributes 90% of the posts made to the South Region Evom forum. It just happens that North Texas has a lot of active Evolution owners and we exchange information on Evom. Partly because we have so many active Evo folks here, we have a club (NTEC) that many North Texas owners participate in. Heck, I was the second member after the founders back in 2003. I think we should take SASD209's advice and move forward, posting new threads for very specific purposes and then others can contribute. Oh and relax and have a

Ill probably get banned for this..but guys..if they want us to stop cluttering their website with our NTEC Traffic..im on another forum a good friend owns. I'm sure i can get him into creating a club/group section and have an NTEC section in their for us. he will be more than happy to accommodate us as it will bring more people to his site, and more views to his vendors. So bringing him in more money. if they want to lose us because of this then so be it..Or..this might also be the perfect time for us to revive the ntec url to an actual forum for evos
