NTEC's Official Social Thread [MegaMerga]
notify the member posting the thread when a mod deletes/merges troublesome thread?
Why not notify or guidie the members innocently posting on a troublesome thread?
I know your time is valueable; mine is too. (I've edited this to the point of spending 30minutes so far) Much of the anger comes from members being treated rudely in some way...how else can you explain the anger of EvoM members, can all the members be wrong?
It would take few key strokes to notify the members that a thread is crossing the line and why...
how else can we correct our mistakes? 99.9% of us don't even know who Jason is, much less what all this fuss is about.
To us its about, what appears to be irrational, snarky behavior,
we need instructive, CONstructive criticism.
I have taught behavioral disordered students for 30yrs and I"m exaspirated at RobertK's attempts to help his members understand, and follow the rules.
There are clearly a few bad apples, but no one punishes the whole class because of a few...and most of them appear to have moved on anyway.
My father, a judge, likes to quote famous leaders...(unfortunately, I only remember the principles), and an important one applies here:
The rules (laws) were made to serve us, the people,
not for US to serve the laws
There appear to be a few rules here that don't serve your members fully, (its really wasting a lot of RobertK's time enforcing them)
and may need to be re-examined by the Super-Mods as out-of-date or unneccesary
hopefully this will be done with a little collaboration from your members/sponsors (we're trying to make this work for everyone)
thank you
