Hey guys, just wanna let yall know that if you need to get your windshield replace.. We got a shop that would replace Windshield on most car for $150. Just got my Evo done so just wanna spread the words.

Evo or Lancer windshield?

 

i got a lancer one for about that price. they said its just a but lighter....

 

It's actually a bit heavier, thus cheaper.. I opted for the regular lancer one as well.

 

Anyone know exact weights on the two windhields? Are we talking about a difference of 2 lbs or 20?

 

i dont think it thats big of a difference. i had mine down last year and it was about 300 or so and that was the cheapest i found around here.

 

I think I read something about replacement windshields a while back, the difference is pretty small at most 5 pounds I'm gonna say.

 

i was told it was lighter, thus cheaper. less glass to make it.... so i was told.

 

I'm almost positive the Evo windshield is lighter and more expensive because it is made of an exotic lightweight material.

My question is how much lighter? A few hundred bucks might be worth 20-30lbs that high on the car. But if it's just a couple of pounds or less, why spend the money? Just run to the bathroom before you race

i doubt it would be even near 20 lbs because then it would be listed on the numerous weight saving threads on here.

 

I just had a lancer windshield put in mine as well, it was 260.

I think I read somewhere on here that the lancer windshield is 3lbs heavier.. I'll see if i can find it.

 

what about passenger windows?

 

well i didnt ask much question about it, since the price was so great compare to the 400+ through my insurance. but if u need the windshield replace just hit me up.

 

lancer ws was 3lb heavier on my scale b4 install.
