ok like i said i have raced once in the evo. obviously once could do it, but why did the poroblem start and i lost my clutch after almost 3000 miles.

i mean come on if racing was the reson then the howling problem would have started closer to 2000 miles not 4700 miles.

yes i do have evo7 tails and yes that is me that you met at i-cafe.

you guys are all just pathetic... The kid said he only raced once and he happened to learn how to drive a stick on the evo. You guys can whine as much as you want, but a clutch is suppossed to last a heck of alot longer than 900 miles, even if you learn on it. I learned on a 130k mile civic with an original clutch. Car still drove fine when i was done learning. Why does everyone back mitsubishi all of the time? All of you guys know that the transmission, clutch included is not up to snuff. The car should be designed to be driven hard. Give the kid a ******* break, you guys are all just pathetic. I'm a lot older than 16 and I'm jeleous that he got an evo that young and i drove a piece of garbage civic, but give the kid came on here with a legit question, instead of asking him for further details, everyone jumped down his throat.

I was 16 once. We all were. Way back in the day I had a brand new 944 turbo S. Went through 4 sets of rear tires in 1 year. 4 tranys in 1.5 years. All covered by warranty. Don't ask how, well ask my mom. She said to the dealer she was driving everytime it broke. hahahaha ! ! bless her heart, luv ya mom.

So, Mitsubishi should not cover this damage. It's abuse. Same thing I did but I got lucky. Just get your mom to drive it in and say "I was just driving and all of the sudden...." hahahaha ! ! All covered.

Good idea...16 year old comes in to complain- it is obvious what they (Mitsu) would be thinking. I don't agree with mitsu's treatment of people. However, I can't bash Mitsu when I hear a story that is 99% user error.

damn have any of you read any of my posts other than the first one. if not go read them then make your statments.

if it was user error then why did everything happen like way after i raced. huh answer me that geniuses. i drove the car to work and to school. Which means i am only driving the car about 4 hours a day at max. that really isnt that much driving.

oh and if i wanted to drive a car that i could beat the sh_t out of, then i would just drive my rsx. but i do have respect for my car and i dont abuse it like it was a riced out civic or something.

Haha! Funny. You believe he did it one time? Wow, he's pretty good. I mean, he learned to race in this car. He raced one time, and he learned it all. If he can learn to race by doing it one time, he should keep going and persue a racing career. Give me a break.

And I happened to agree with you on the learning stick deal (read my previous post). There is no reason why anyone of any age shouldn't be able to learn to drive a stick on this car. I'm never going to back Mitsu on the clutch deal. But, he learned to race with this car. One time or one-hundred, he raced. The warranty manual doesn't say that if you race less than 10 times, your warranty stays in tact, but go over 10 races, and the warranty is voided. It says racing voids the warranty. Period. Too bad he didn't learn to read in one try.

OK this is it!!! All of you guys should stop talking to this kid!!! It has been learned that he is an EVo abuser who likes to kid himself. IT has been learned that he frequents car meets and talks about "side stepping his clutch". Lets all do this kid a favor and not post on this thread again. This is a complete waste of time. The Dragon is out.

Why does this seem to tie in with my other thread in reference to not learning anything but bad habits, breaking stuff and being all together stupid and unsafe.
