Im trying to get a feel for what mods and tuning people are doing and the experience when they bring to the dealers. Just trying to be safe

 

OK ask Evo8u he goes to Coral Springs and they do all but give him a BJ whilst he's waiting.

Got new Calipers because they got discolored!

I have a feeling that coorporate is starting to listen somewhat, because the product is changing to suit the outcries. look at the IX - it has alot of the stuff that people griped about upgraded.

plus - the Evo is the only profitable car they have left! although they are not selling a whole lot of em.

But things are still a bit unpredictable.

Either way I would avoid the dealer like the plague - especially if I had mods on.

There's nothing that you should need the dealer for except if you bought a lemmon.

I see what your saying but you know how it goes 10yr 100,000 i break, you fix within reason of course. Im not planning on bringing a stg5 car to the dealer just dont want to hear that simple mods void the waranty

The thing is that it not only varied between dealerships, but it varied between the type of problem being brought in.

So the end result is that we have people with good stories and people with sad complaints (that have been given a raw deal.) But these were all around the country, and not here in S FL. I don't think any of the TEMEVO guys have had a significant problem with their cars!!!

 

Hey guys whats up. I'm the sponsor that tinted the MR. I know you guys think that paying that much for tint is crazy when you have shops doing it for $60 but I didnt put Huper Optik on the MR. My clients that want Huper Optik is mostly high end. I do BMW's, Jaguars, Benz, G35's etc and their willing to pay. The reason is because the film is a ceramic based material which doesnt affect radio signals and navigation systems. A 30% Huper film outperforms and keeps out a lot more heat that the darkest Llumar (5%). I do at least 1 Huper Optik job a week and it runs about $380 - $450. I just did a M3 today and I have a BMW 740 tomorrow that will cost $420. The film is also a lot harder to work with that regular film and there are only about 4 dealers in South Florida that carries the brand. Its really a performance film and not used for privacy so it only goes as dark as 30%.
