Yeah, the MX is one of the tires that we tested. I was impressed with it and I have a feeling that it will work well on the EVO. I have the Falken Azenis on right now and they are also a good tire. For what I do, the azenis have a track record and perhaps a little more grip. The MX had excellent turn in (we were running a 215 40 R17 on the car. Real short side wall for better reponse. Also the cars were automatic Mini Coopers with no power. I held my foot to the floor and just left foot brake to try and keep the engine up. Also, on the MX, there wasn't much rotation in the rear, but also because of the speed, and we didn't set the air pressures. I certainly will be trying the MX's soon. It will also be a better wet weather tire, due to the design of the pattern.

BTW Jon, you left too soon last night. Guess what? Cory took her EVO on that patch of dirt next to the Stake and Shake where they are preparing the land for construction and she was doing donuts and drifting in the sand. After she was done the car was making a horrendous sound from just rolling. Apparently dirt and small stones got inbetween the rotor and the calipers. It sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
She made a quite a specticle with the gigantic dust cloud she stirred up, it looked like a tornado touched down. So much dust that even with her headlights on, at times I couldn't see the EVO.

Good Morning All!!!!!!!
benze - Whats up, bro!!!
Good to hear, do you still need directions to Pembroke Pines Mall??? I sure Jon, Doc., or Scooter can help!
Jon - I would have killed her too, in her PERFECT condition car! I thought she was going to turn it back in???
I guess big brother got to her!!!
What's up Doc.!!!!!
Scooter - Tomorrow I am down your way for the whole weekend!
Chris - I have been thinking about getting the same tires you have but not as wide as yours! Do they have them in a more lowprofile look?
Or do you recommend the wide look???

Morning all,The Advans will hold up pretty well, as you will probably not be pushing it that hard. I won't let you. Sebring is a fast course and you need to know the line before you start pushing it in the corners and such. Also you won't be braking as hard as I would. I got quite alot out of the advans.
As for the tires, you can get a 225 for the car, and that will flatten out the side wall, as you stretch it onto the rim. I went with the 245 because I can get a little bit more rubber to the ground. For the driving that you are doing, it won't make that much of a difference.

I can deal with that, Let me see what my better half says and when we can do this Sebring deal. I'm sure she'll OK it.BTW do you know if they changed the date of the AutoX. I know Gordon was talking that they might switch with the Porsche club...Cause I want to AutoX but I also want to help TEMEVO represent at NHRA. I'm hoping fate will help me do both.

Tragic accident, lost an EVO driver.
"Good Friend Died March 23, 2004 (Driving Evo)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"John Voight" of Orlando, Florida died tuesday afteroon (3/23/04) around 6:22pm on the onramp from I-4 west going onto 528 beeline (towards orlando int. airport). John was driving his 2004 Mitsubishi Evolution he had for 4-5 months at the most. Another car was involved but has minimial damage (which i don't believe). I haven't seen the car yet but when i do i'll put up a pic on this thread. John was 21 years old and a very loving friend to alot of people. Whether u knew him for a minute or for years, you'd see the kindness and generousity he showed immensly. The details on how the crashed happened aren't completely shown yet, we probably will never know truely what happened. But here's what i do know. Another truck either cliped him on the right rear of his car, and caused him to loose controlling doing a 180, then while going backwards at an unknown speed, slammed into a tree. I couldn't believe that someone could die when going backwards especially with the seats the Evo has. But either his neck went, or head trauma from the driver side cabin area. It's hurting so many of us down here and i just wanted to let you guys know. We will still all speed, take turns fast on streets, thinking either we are invincible or our cars are. You know the rest. I love you john like the brother i wish i could still be. Take care of my little bro and emile for me while you watch upon them like the angel you are."
Now, I'm probably a DICK for asking this in light of this tragic situation.... Did the rear spoiler survive?
Now I know PRVRT you were thinking the same thing, don't deny it you bastard!
