Talking about Navyman Bias here is another of my favorites. The Grumman F7F Tigercat.

Highly maneuverable twin engine carrier capable fighter with 4 - 20mm cannon and 4 - .50 caliber machineguns to totally shred any japanese planes that would get in its way with a short burst. Plus a 4,000 lb bomb carrying capability means you could carry your Evo with you.
