Run the Dragon

Anybody care to set up an evo meet at the Dragon's tail over here in NC? I'd def go. Also if anyone in eastern Carolina needs a mechanic, I'm looking for customers.

Welcome to NC.

The Dragon is too long of a haul for a day trip for me. I don't know if I could do a weekend up there anytime soon because of work. It's also going to get cold up there soon.

I live 20 minutes away, make my living there and I'm out running it every weekend.

No one has ever died in a car accident on Deal's Gap. There were 3 deaths on motorcycles this year, and that is high. Damn good statistics considering the thousands of riders/drivers who come run it every week.

4-6 semis cross it every weekday. (average) Guys on stretched choppers like the ones on American Chopper make it through every week just fine. I think the Evo can handle it.

Not sure, it's on the southern part of the border of TN/NC. Our friends from Columbia, SC that come often say it takes them about 4 hours.

BTW, this is a really good time of year to run it in cars. It's a little cool and tough to get the tires heated up, but the cruisers aren't parading all over the place holding up traffic. I'd like to do a car thing in early December for all types of cars...
