Roll Call For Sc Evos
Oh crap...I didn't even notice that the Michelin site was actually confirmed. I thought you guys were just speculating. Well...that's awesome!
Go ahead and book your hotels now before they get full. There will easily be 150+ cars at this event and only 2 or 3 hotels in the area. I stayed at the Days inn and it was like 54$ with the SCCA discount. It was about 15 minutes away. I plan on driving up on a Friday and staying over night, run the event on Saturday and hit the road immediately after the event.

If I'm able to make it, I doubt I'll stay the night on Friday. I'd most likely just drive up early Saturday morning. I guess going through tech will be a beeeyotch with that many cars....
Tech shouldn't be too bad. Even with the 240 cars we had there in Sept., the average wait time was ~10-15 minutes. With 150 cars, it should be fairly fast like it's been the rest of the season. Actually, with it only being 3 weeks away, I don't for sure that we will even have that many cars. It would be cool to only have 100-120 cars so we could get more runs. The course size was too much fun to only get 4 runs a day.
All I know is that I'm getting there very, very early. I don't want to be parked that far away this time.
Hmmm, I haven't actually plotted the trip so I'm not sure if it's 45 minutes or not. It might be that or a little longer. I guess parking close would be the best bet, esp. if you're lugging tires, tools, etc.
I would love to go, especially to try and dial in my coilovers a little bit but around an 8 hour round trip from MB doesn't sound too awesome to me, and it only being a 1 day even too....i don't know well see...i doubt it though...

Yeah I meant you. With so many Davids running around it gets confusing sometimes. I try to refer to DL as "DL" or the "Colombian."
I'd like to get a chance to try out this Hotchkis rear sway bar too. My car does feel different going around on-ramps at 80+ and so on, feels more planted. So I wonder how it will feel going through cones and such.

No Darlington for me on the 29th. Dennis has the RS at the moment. He's going to replace the heater core and take a look at why the clutch is making horrible noises when backing up. Oh ya. On top of the repair work I also will be deep in the Smoky Mtns that whole weekend.

Just pulled up the directions up from my house, or well my zip 'cause my house doesn't come up on any directions
, but it's 90 something miles there. About an hour and half drive.Still not sure I'm going to make it as something has come up from that Thurs to Saturday.
If anyone changes their mind about the Autox on Dec. 6th or has a friend that is interested:
