I was wondering if anyone in here knows a good traffic attorney who could help me get out of some tickets. Here was the situations. i was at an intersection, the light turns green.. there are two cops behind me and i was well aware of their presence. I was not going to do anything stupid. i got into the right lane sped up a tad but nothing illegal and then they slam me with three tickets. Grand total around 400$. They claim to have "clocked" me doing 70 in a 40 mph no seat belt and excessive sound comming out the exhaust. i really dont feel that i should pay for this since i did nothing wrong but i dont want to go to a judge and have to pay even more on top of the citations. If you knowe any good traffic attorneys in jax please let me know

typical.... doesnt it say protect and serve somewhere in there job description ive never seen where it say harass and judge... why arent they helping people change tires on the side of the road and not going 20mph over the speed limit on the highway

cops are all out for them selves...become cops to be above the law, bastards

 

go to court and plead your case .. i was just there and if you have a good sob story you might get off just paying the court cost for the tickets and no points

 

The same thing happened to me. Depending on how many traffic offenses that
you have in the past 3 years you can get one ticket reduced to an improper
equipment charge (no points or reporting to your insurance) and another for a
prayer for judgement (no points or reporting to your insurance). And as for the eccessive noise, I just took my car to a shop and had them inspect my exhaust and write up an inspection sheet saying that my exhaust was found to be functioning properly and that all neccessary parts were intact. And the court
dropped that ticket for me. All I had to pay in the whole deal was the court costs.

Also in my experience, most of the time you can just go to the local Majestrate's
office and plead for all of that yourself before your court date. And they normally reduce the tickets as you ask and tell you what to pay...and it is a lot cheaper than highering a lawyer AND paying the court costs, too.
