yegads. Found the source of my oil burning (more than likely) 4 of 8 exhaust stem seals were completely trashed out. Not sure on all of the intake stem seals, only did 2 and they weren't completely smoked.

I'm shooting to be driving the car some time this weekend.

oh timing belts and cams, how I hate thee.

actually, I hate my roommate more. I let him do brakes on his damn honda and the mother****er never put my ******* tools back up.
I seem to be harbouring a lot of anger as a result of this round of work.. hm.

Oh well. Got the stem seals in, I need to make an adapter for my slide hammer to the needle nose vice grips, would have made the job a bit easier. Gotta finish the timing belt stuff, put the rest of the junk back on the car, change/add fluids, fix the LICP on the intercooler (and then list it for sale), and decide if I really want to put a 4.5 inch thick intercooler on the front, or if I just want to hold out for a 3.5 or 3.8

yeah we're going to build one, trying to figure out which core I want to run and whether or not I want to keep the crash beam.

Ditch the crash beam....Garrett Core...very dense but doesn't hinder flow thru to Radiator. Pruven to be one of the best around. I always wanted to do a top/bottom inlet/outlet

nah, severe knock from running out of fuel. lower half and exhaust manifold are back on the car. if it lets go during a clean pass / clean tuning session, I'll swap to a cometic. As easy as it is to replace the hg, I'd rather have it let go if something questionable happens vs blowing a hole in a piston or worse. The rest of the gasket was actually in pretty good shape aside from the bits that stuck (ahh, copper coat)
