Got it fixed and back on the road around 730. Feels much better. Even the manifold bolts were kind of loose. Not sure what the last owner did, but they did a ****ty job.

I dunno about what everyone else is getting MPG wise, but I'm still getting bad gas mileage even with a tune. It may have actually gotten worse. I literally go through about a quarter of a tank of gas round trip driving from my house in Hubert to Best Buy in Jacksonville (about 12-13 miles one way I think).

And that's with ZERO WOT. I drive my Evo slower than I drive the Fit.

We can get that bad boy squared up for you. Tuning for driveability, performance and gas mileage is what our reputation is all based on

You're telling me. I can borderline watch the gas needle move downwards as I'm driving.

Put it this way, my car gets similar mileage to my brother's Supra. His car has a fully built head and ZERO tune. The gas damn near drips out of the muffler it runs so freaking rich.

Car still feels kind of blah without boost. Not sure how to address that, but I just deal with it now. The MPG is definitely something I want to address when I can cause gas isn't cheap!!

Dan,

With the exhaust leak you described(prior to the upstream oxygen sensor) your short term fuel trims will be ALL out of wack. This is also due to the hot/humid summer we are having and the ecu is seeing higher Intake air temps than normal.

That sucks man. I wonder how it popped off. The little cotter pin(if you want to call it that) was on there tight.

Now I'm throwing P0137. I'm guessing the car didn't like the exhaust leaks. I know the gaskets around the straight pipe need replacement.

Ok plugs needed to be replaced since I'm running the cheap ones. My question:

BPR8ES or BR8ES??

I have the SpoolnUp COP so what gap am I looking at for the more appropriate plug? I had BPR in there, but I just want to make sure that's the right kind.

bpr with about a .028 gap will be fine

you really shouldnt need anything tighter than .025 with that cop. the BPR run cooler than the br i believe anyways

Thanks, good info to know.

My only main gripe is the way the car feels all the time. Its always like my tunes don't hold or something. It usually feels good right after my Dyno tune, but after a couple wot pulls it starts to feel slower. It basically is back to feeling as fast as when i had it tuned originally...when it made like 350whp.

Like I could barely put like a car and a half on my buddies STi which made 360 over at epic. And he said he was only running spring pressure. So I've been pretty disappointed lately with the car....

There's some underlying issue if that's the case, the tune isn't going to go bad. It could be plugs, boost leak, gas, etc. Do you fill up at the same gas station?

No the gas stations vary. But it's pretty consistent between a couple of them.

And I know it needs a boost leak test done, but I don't have a boost leak tester as of now. Even off boost the car sucks. Like keeping up with traffic requires me to rev it up a bit.
