. Joe's car is over at Epic right now as well. He said something about picking it back up this Saturday. We went to the track yesterday. Still can't get the car down the track that well but the best of the day was a 11.96 at 119. My best run of the day would have been last, but completely missed 5th so I ran a 12.3 at 93mph
It's a nice day so I'm prolly gonna wash my car today.
Dan i spoke with Joe yesterday and if he wants to fix it i told him it would be no problem at all to be ready for pickup saturday. Also Cat's Engine is almost ready from the machine shop and will start teardown on his setup now. I also need to get with him on clutch and the rest of the things that will be in the build. Going to be like driving a small block with that 2.4 and stock turbo lol

Awesome. Yeah I know Joe is really excited about getting his car back!! And I'm anxious to see how Cat's does!!!
Things are actually going pretty well around our homestead. Stressing there for a while, but now things are looking good. It's actually got me thinking I might get out of the Evo game for a little while. I've already been crucified for the thought because everyone knows me to own an Evo since it's the only thing I've owned for the last 5 years, but I have my eyes on a C6 Z06 for the time being. If all goes well I should be going to test drive one tomorrow. I guess we will see how I like it!!
You guys tune Vettes lol??
yea Cat we are still going with a twin for you. Only thing that makes me think triple is the torque you are eventually going to put down. I spoke with a friend today who had a 2.4 with a FP red and said he was seeing full boost at around 3800 on it lol with GOBS of torque. I told him you would be on a stock turbo for now and his eyes got wide as hell and said it would be like driving a mac truck lol. I will shoot you a Email hopefully tomorrow and should be getting closer to having some pics of your engine.
Dan, I send Joe a text today but think ill let you also know. I got his head off today and stripped to go to the machine shop tomorrow. The gasket was completely blown and pretty much filled the oil pan with coolant. I have all the fluids drained and the engine clean and block prepped for a new gasket and head deck. I am just praying that we can save the head with machining and hope it doesnt need to be decked past its limits. Will be in touch soon after machine shop checks it out.
Also the C6 ZO6 would be a AWESOME bet. that is for the money the BEST everyday supercar you can have period. They released when i was still working for GM as a certified corvette tech and dude they are monsters. they will get loose in in 4th gear if you arent careful. Yes we also tune GM's and have access to some awesome performance parts for those as well. I do happen to have a past with chevy's and corvettes for that matter. My pops has a 66, 78, and 03 50th anniversay car. And i just might have corvette flags inked on me somewhere lol. LMK how the testdrive goes

Oh man, I'm praying for good news for Joe. That car is a ****ing curse I think for him!!
And that's awesome you know about the vette. I'm new to the whole thing. I didn't get to test drive because it rained all day today. I'm not too sure what I'm going to do just yet. It might be something I put off for a little while. I still love driving the Evo. I'm just curious about trying something else out for a little while. Pretty much everyone I know (muscle car guys included) can't picture me driving a vette. Or any American car for that matter.
If/when I do get the vette I plan on going intake, exhaust and tune. I wan to keep it simple bolt-ons as the point of me getting a vette is to try to get around 500whp with basically nothing.
yea u can make 500whp EASY with a exhaust/cam/tune on those... that on a slick tire will go 10's all day
i know i am praying everything turns out good with joes car. i know this is hard on him. i did notice he friggin hit something else cause his pass side fender liner was stuffed all between the frame and the lower control arm. Either way i cleaned it up and threw it away but hopefully machine shop tells us something good. I have the old redneck trick going by soaking the cylinder with penetrating oil trying to free the rings where they are sticking to the walls so it will turn easier. if you need to know anything on the vette or help with the GM stuff LMK. i would like to get you to come out one weekend and get a 110 oct tune and hit the track just to see how you do with a bit better prep on the car

My instructor at WOBC had a C5 that is flirting with 9s. His main issue was once he got down into the low 10s, his rear end would constantly need a rebuild. Seeing that thing at the track and then the fact that he daily drives it with a quick tire swap is amazing.
whats going on gents.I used to be station in j-ville and i'm back in town for 2 weeks for school.do you guys still meet up weekly?if so i would like to meet some you.Do anybody know if ben and andrew is deployed?
