Many of you greeted me in my intro thread. I am looking for an evo x preferably in Fl. Trading in my 08 lgt for an evo

My first venture for an EVO x was today at delray motor in delray beach fl. Heres the story

They are asking 31000, i already was like wtf. So, i went. Car is clean from a far. The wheels have been curbed and the back left mudflap was hanging off.

Well did some inspecting, car is runing full exhaust, upgraded ams IC, upgraded piping, intake, short shifter, gram lights with 245's (that were rubbing something fierce because the springs). Then looked inside saw two switches with red light which had me wondering. So continued the investigation, car was running meth from the rear windshield wiper resoviour, i also found the control unit.

So, i presented each of these things asking to work a deal out. He said if the number i had in my head was less than 28k then we cant work something out. 5 miles down the road there is an 2010 white gsr same options (5 miles on the clock) for 31k. I was like **** this and left....

And the guy i guess just wouldnt take me serious and offered only 16k for a fully loaded lgt as trade in

So my question is, what dealerships should i be looking at? Anyone know of a particular dealership in finding me an evo?

 

Typical dealer run around. South Coast Mitsubishi offers great deals. I understand you are looking to trade in so this may not help you but Sam has been dealing many Evos on the cheap with much success.

Dan Blackburn. He was a douche. No offense if you know him. But, a modded car that wont maintain warranty that they claim comes with the car, with 15xxx miles and asking about 5 over where he should be asking....

Just seems stupid. And not even trying to make a deal, but rather telling me to go down the street to have a beer is dumb...

For those prices I don't even think I would consider used..

 

The used evo's in the area are just stupid priced. And they just dont want to move on price. I went to go see this evo because i figured it had exhaust/rims/intake like i wanted. i Was like perfect and now ill negotiate. The MFer didnt even try for a sale...

He knew i was not just another kid trying to buy the evo, i traveled 2 hours to get my time wasted.

I bet he could work with me, and if hes a cool guy maybe i can buy a car from him at the right price.

I almost want to email the sales manager about the interaction. I mean i have no problem buying the car at the right price. But, to false advertise a car with warranty, and then not know anything about the vehicle and other vehicles in the areas f/s is just plain bad buisness.

 

i called the dealership and asked for him like 2 days ago but they said he was on a sick leave.
so im gunna wait a week and ring him back

 

I would walk away and look for a nother Evo. Buying a heavely modded car is a bit of a crap shoot. Since the warrenty if voided if there is any problems to arise with the car after you buy it you could be in way over your head. If you buy any used car make sure you get a PPI done on it.

Check out fountain auto mall on obt in orlando. Brian garret is sales manager, and he hooked me with my gts brand new for 17.5 its worth a look i guess
