I went with jestr tuning and he did a really good job. He is a bit hard to reach, but I guess that would be expected of a good tuner that keeps busy. I had originally gotten tired of waiting for jestr, so I went with another local street tuner for my first tune. I was unhappy with the results and went to jestr. He was able to get me a safer (I.e less lean) tune and got me
36 more whp and over 75 ftlbs more wtq (on a mustang dyno). Best money I have spent on the car yet.

 

Thanks. I know he is one of the best. The car I'm getting needs a new tune and its my DD, so need a dyno tune and go from there. I'll post more details once everything is finalized. I've read good things about tampa bay tuning as well.

 

If you need a dyno tune then bring it to Vanquish, the tuner there has been tuning Mitsubishi's since the afc, vpc days.

After being away all summer, I will be burning up the streets of Tampa in my evo during September! I can't wait to go to NOPI Nationals in Atlanta! I am hoping to get noticed this year! Too bad I can't afford "everything" I want to restore in my VII, but it would be nice to go to a show and get recognized for it being an authentic VII and not an VIII/IX with a VII body kit!

Don't worry, I am not trying to kid myself. Haters will always be out there. However, I went to two car meets... USF and TCM... where (once at each) someone recognized its authenticity. However, I have been to dozens of car shows where it is only recognized as an Evo... No trim.

I can recommend TBT, Omar has tuned tons of evos. Ill be going back for E85 tune, once my clutch is ready for it lol

 

Omar is cool, but that shop is well to connected to certain aspects of the racing community. To many eyes and ears over there for me. They do great work though.


I like Vanquish because what goes on in that garage stays in that garage unless you specify otherwise.
