Where are these E85 stations? I looked it up on the .Gov site and it doesn't show any within a close distance, for POV atleast.

By the way I'm also on Macdill, whenever I'm home lol.

 

Look up Thortons gas stations. They have been popping up all over Tampa and Brandon. They have e85.

Well I'm in south Tampa couple miles from base. I'm not in the country at the moment and won't be back for a month. I did a search of thorton gas stations and it only shows one in Clearwater.

 

Idk why that would only show 1 but i can assure you there are at least 2 in Tampa and at least 1 in Brandon (the one I have been to by my house).

 

Are the ones in Tampa near the base or like north Tampa? I tried looking on alternate fuel sites too and most are just not THAT up to date I guess. Ill be home in a month or so and hopefully should be able to scope out the area more.

It just has to be accessible enough to where I'm not driving 15-20 mins out of my way just to fill up. That will get old real quick.

 

Has anyone had their car dyno tuned or worked on by Tampa Bay Tuned?

 

I just looked on their website and the only one near Tampa is on Gunn so that doesnt sound too close if your in the South Tampa area. I thought there were 2 in Tampa but I guess its just the one. The other ones are in Brandon and 2 are in Clearwater.

 

If Mark takes longer I'm probably going to get it tuned by them. I understand he's busy but cant wait to wait a month to get tuned.

 

I would do the same. Im going to have my car dynoed there once my car finally gets finished at Bold, whenever that may be.

 

Why not just get an E tune instead of going to a tuner that may or may not be great. There is plenty of reputable E tuners that will get you an amazing tune for a fraction of the price. Granted you have a tactrix/AP.

 

My car is currently getting tuned at Bold. Ive had my car dynoed at TBT before so I want to use the same dyno for comparison after it gets out of the shop. I was just wondering if anyone had anything positive or negative to say about TBT.

 

I personally didn't feel they were "super" knowledgable about the X platform. I'm super **** about my car and where it goes though.

 

The tuner at TBT is spoken highly of by several shops and drivers. I believe his name is Drew. He runs the gamut from all models of Evolutions... he has tuned them all. He travels in and out of the country to tune Evos. He truly loves what he does.

I have never had my Evo tuned by him. He offered to tune it at a price I wasn't willing to pay when I was unemployed... and Mark has tuned my Evo for a fraction of the price since then. I am not racing anyone for money or trophies, so I am not concerned with paying high costs for super tunes that I am not going to use.

To each his own. All of this was said just to affirm that I have heard a great deal about him in a positive sense.
