If we're talking about drew that used to work at S&R and Darkside performance before that than yes he knows his DSMs and older Evos, as far as the X platform goes he hasn't had much experience on it from what I have heard.

Good example of this is when I got tuned by the "Legendary" Jestr. A world renowned tuner who started on Evos, now doing 1500hp lambos, GTRs, Supras. He tuned my car for 500$ on the dyno. The tune made awesome power but was complete **** and even had some counts of knock. I then got an Etune from a very reputable tuner for 150$ (average price for Etune). I made more power, 100x smoother, and a lot more reliable.

If its not the same Drew than disregard. It's all third person anyway. If you have an 8 or 9 then they're a lot more tuners available to you then if you have an X. It's a whole new ball game on this platform.

My purpose is not to trash talk or anything, but to inform. A tune is the cars most important aspect. Reliability starts and ends with the tune. Always do a lot of research on a tuner before just jumping into one because he's in the area.

 

Im pretty sure TBT's tuner is Omar. Correct me if im wrong.

 

That actually sounds correct, it could be that drew rents the dyno (alot of tuners do this) to tune his own customers. I have no idea though.

 

No where near as much as hondas. There are more evos getting cut up there.

 

Drew might be from S&R, and Omar from TBT... now I am getting them confused! Either way, the guy from TBT is highly spoke of for Evos. The guy from S&R has tunes pretty much anything.

 

Well just wanted to add to this thread but I just got tuned by Omar from Tampa Bay Tuned and everything was great. Awesome customer service from him and the rest of the shop.

 

Ok guys, here is the game play for tomorrow. It is going to be a bit of a mess since most of us work until 5pm. I have to meet my POC at the theater in New Tampa by 6pm. I am sorry to say, but even with my slight imperfections, I want to be one of the cars parked on the sidewalk. The other Evo will be chosen on the spot. The choices all depends on who is there by 6pm.

The rest of you will be pretty much free to park together in the first few spaces. My contact told me that at 6pm they are almost always empty.

Those that show up at 6pm, we will park and walk nearby to grab dinner. The others that want to ride out with USF, please be careful and be safe!

If you have a voucher, you will trade it for a movie pass with me at Muvico. 1 pass = 1 ticket. There are a select few that don't have a pass. You have already been identified. I will have it there at the theater.

I am excited about tomorrow. This will be the FIRST time i4Evo will be taking center stage... so LETS MILK IT by showing up IN FORCE!!!

 

Those guys are awesome over there. I need to visit them some time... haven't chatted with them in a long time.

 

When I get there we should do a weekly or biweekly Friday night meet up.

 

Alot of ppl often meet up on Gandy bridge on Fri and Sat nights. Easily 100+ cars.

 

So muvico at 6pm then? I literally live walking distance to the theater too so if anybody needs anything let me know. Also if we wanted to eat somewhere a little further I can bring my other car so we dont lose our spots.

Gandy is a whole different scene though... It's not a car show. You will have a ton of highschool kids, some wanna be thugs then the rest. It's a lot of street racing and such.

It never fails everytime I go I park on the road right before the bridge starts (no way am I driving through the beach) and ill have a good 5 people come up asking to run it.

I live a block away from Gandy/Westshore so I check it out every now and then.

 

Its just preference. I prefer that environment instead of a static car show. I have no problem obliging with their requests
