Who's up for another get together? I see other enthusiasts meet up weekly or bi-weekly. We have been meeting up monthly and April is upon us. Any suggestions on when we'd like to link up? Most people have enjoyed Sunday's better due to work schedules. Maybe we should look at April 10th. Post up if your down or if you prefer a different day. Otherwise, 10 April will be marked on my calendar.

 

Well, I spent the last four hours making the AMS intercooler fit my car. Apparently the Buschur LICP and AMS don't like each other. I ended up trimming the Buschur LICP to get it to fit. I went to several shops to get someone to weld a bead around the end, but no one was available. So I gave up and just finished the job. The intercooler is so good, my car seems to have gotten faster. The turbo is very happy... now just need to get the turn to retune at higher boost levels... 19lbs is for chumps.

 

You are going to need the bead ring around the BR Pipe made.
If you don't, then the pipe coupler is going to sli-off the pipe and the car will stall.

I am using the BR J-Pipe and AMS Ebay copy Intercooler. Same thing happened to me long ago several times.

Then it is a pain on the road to fix the problem and get the car to run again.

I advise to do it sooner than later.

hey guys just wanted to say hey and to let everyone know that i am from the tampa bay area originally and am coming back home after being in the air force the last 10 years. i am going to be bring my evo 9 rs with me so its going to be nice to meet everyone after being a part of the evo crowd here in utah.

 

Are you getting stationed at MacDill or are you getting out? Make sure you have something lined up here in Tampa cause the job market is tough around here.

Welcome back. I was gone for 8 years due to joining the Army and was thrilled to get stationed at MacDill.

 

That is why I drove around asking someone to weld a bead. At this point, I'm using hair spray.

 

I will bring my MIG with me when I come visit and I can give it a shot it if you can deal with my amature welds.

 

Where are you at in MacDill? I was stationed there acouple years ago. Currently trying to get a special duty there at JCSE.

I spoted you too late, and by the time I looked up you were driving by.

But I seen the low spoiler and never put one and two together until now that you posted this.

 

Didn't see this thread before, but I'm new to the Brandon/Valrico/Riverview/MacDill area (been here 6 months). Car is an 03 BBY Evo VIII with black BBS wheels and a black Rexspeed type-c spoiler (as of a few days ago).

I work on base by across from the base supply. Look forward to meeting you guys sometime, I'd love to hit up the track with some other Evo's if anyone is cool with that. Mods are in my signature block below.-Phil

 

I work at Soccent as a bean counter. I have a silver evo ix with evo X GSR wheels.

 

I've got a silver IX as well. Wingless with Black limited NT03's. Well, hopefully I can get back that way! I'll keep an eye out for you guys if I do.

 

Hey Phil,

Some of us are linking up at noon on April 10th at the Northdale Recreation Center. My wife and I are a hubby and wife Evo team with HIS and HERS. This is a family recreation center, so if you have any kids, feel free to bring them. There are picnic tables there and shade, so bring a lunch if you would like to chow down on something.

There is also a meet May 22nd for photos, short cruise, and a day at Busch Gardens. Some people are only showing for the pre-cruise while the rest of us are going to convoy over to enjoy the local theme park.

You are welcome to join us for any and all things we do together. We are not an official group. We are just Evo lovers that enjoy talking shop and other BS. Check the rest of the pages for pictures of previous meets.
